That's an issue with your installation path length (and you are likely using Steam). Unfortunately no solution has been found so far except trying to reduce the length of the installation path.

I literally have no idea which civics qualify as Communism for the purpose of the Russian UHV, nothing explains it, and none really stand out as the specific one, or do I have to use spies to change civics piecemeal which will almost certainly collapse the target civs?

I am having trouble playing the 600 AD scenario again and its notepad file as downloaded is garbled

I tried that and I also tried copying the file manually from Git Hub and that did not work either.

At first it was the same as before, unable to read file
Now it just endlessly loads without going to the civilization selection screen.
