Bug Reports and Technical Issues

Get a CTD with version 1.12 and it happens every time I end turn. So, I'm stuck and would like to try to win as I'm getting close. Any help out there? I'm attaching save game and logs.

Well, was hoping to get my game won with the download version. Didn't even know there was an SVN version until now. Guess I can play that one.:(
 
Sorry, I might be able to look at it soon, but in case there is another reason the fix will also only be released through the SVN.

OK. I grabbed the SVN version and it crashed during spawn waiting after I started 3000BC with Byzantines. Do I need to clear out folders (other than obviously replacing the entire mod folder)?

EDIT: I noted some xml Bug parse errors while the spawn wait was running. I could get more specific if you like.

EDIT: OK. This time the spawn wait is running properly. Still have the xml parse errors. Seems to either not like your xml comments in the events tag or possibly the empty events tag. Will update as this progresses.
 
That's the first time I hear about XML parsing issues, that's probably related to your installation.

Could very well be. Changed windows security on the mod dir and it seemed to go away. It's interesting that the parse errors were at the comment block (Autolog.xml in the events tag). I guess I'll try again with Byz with the SVN build then.

Hello!

I'm on rev 840 and ending the turn in this game results in a never-ending delay of waiting for other players. I left my computer on this for >30 minutes, but I think there's something going on behind the scenes which is stuck.

I don't have the debugging knowledge to solve it myself but I thought you might appreciate it being put up here.

Got a TXT_KEY_BUILDING_CAN_EMBASSY in the building list.

EDIT: Python exception when entering the victory screen. SVN 840. (I had to zip it because the file exceeds the size limit of the forums)

EDIT 2:
In 1940, I didn't get my golden age for getting my 2nd UHV as Japan. It turned out the 1st UHV was reset to "not yet". Even though I'm pretty sure it was set to yes when I got it. (I don't know when it changed.)

Never mind this one. It happened because of my own actions.
 
Playing v1.12 (not SVN). Started as the Congo, switching to Iran. Iranian capital appears as city ruins. It seems to be just a graphical glitch. The city screen seemed normal to me. When the city grew to size 2, it appeared as usual.

Also, a bit off-topic: what is the best way to play these rebirth civs that you can't select? Is it what I did in this case?

Not a bug, but a fix:

To fix the double tech button requirement in the improvement pedia, simply add a line with the break statement after line 191 in SevoPediaImprovents.py.
