Oh yeah, that's an issue I remember seeing when I played DoC... 11 years ago that I'm still seeing today.
I captured the city on the first turn of the Ottoman game. Please do check if it is working as intended.Did you capture or recapture this city recently (I think you are playing the Turks)? You convert some of the owner's culture to your own after capturing but it reverts after some time. I can check it out regardless but that is the most probable explanation.
If this is intended (and predictable), maybe the effect should be added to the tooltip?Did you capture or recapture this city recently (I think you are playing the Turks)? You convert some of the owner's culture to your own after capturing but it reverts after some time. I can check it out regardless but that is the most probable explanation.
Loot gold also scales with game speed.Assyria UHV goal 1 part where you have to gain gold by conquering cities.
On Normal game speed you need 250 gold, fine that very doable.
But with Marathon game speed i its 3 times as much, 750 gold.
I think that is both unresonable and impossible to achieve due to stability.
You simply can not conquer or raze that many cities as it requires.
The goal is not possible on any game speed then.Loot gold also scales with game speed.
It's totally possible on Normal. Just sack every city that you conquer up until you get it - usually I have it done by the time I'm invading Egypt, if not well before then. I'll try to squeeze in a Marathon game in the morning before I leave tomorrow to make sure it's the same, but the game really is balanced around Normal speed. The goal is not possible on any game speed then.
America has high potential for stability, happiness, and commerce, and the UHV will require the pursuit of expansion, wonders, and commerceHow are the strengths and challenges supposed to be interpreted? It's unclear to me what they mean. For example, right now America has:
Strengths: [ICON_SCALES][ICON_HAPPY][ICON_GOLD]
Challenges: [ICON_MAP][ICON_GOLDENAGE][ICON_GOLD]
How should I interpret this? How is gold a strength and a weakness for America?
