Bug Reports and Technical Issues

So I've tried working this again with Steam and it once again will not show the "Play Now" option. The main thing seems to be when I install it, it installs an icon to the desktop which will not launch the game. Any advice? Very frustrating.

I have also tried installing it without a desktop icon and nothing.

It can find the game within the load mod section of both BTS and RFC.

Loading the mod directly from the desktop seems to have an issue with locating the Civ4 BTS.exe file. When I place it in the target, it is missing 4 .dll files to help it load. What can I do about that?

Finally, finally got it working. I did not know about the steam Beta versions :mischief:

Now, any recommendations on who to play as first? These new civs etc are very intimidating.

Noted.

USA flipzone on this lake looks to be little funny:

I have started with Poland (3000 BC start), and have this civilization name:

This could be because I changed manually civ name in Player Details on scenario start, but... I did this every time in previous RFC Versions, and I have never seen this error before.

Stability as a feature just isn't working for me, stays at a static 0 (shaky) for every civ, no collapses, nothing.

Can you enable Python exceptions and report the error message? The first post of this thread explains how.

Thanks for your reports. Can you clarify if it's the installer version or Git?

Yeah, the new dynamic name code is using those entries to dynamically look up which civilization you are, didn't anticipate that you can change them. I'll look into a better way to implement this mechanism.

My Korea save was from a 29th of February installation. The Japan save is the development version as of yesterday.
Thanks.

That's good, seems to limit the cause to a recent addition.

I still had a crashes in my Poland RFC game in 873 turn (1579 - 1581 AD). When I change the Netherlands birth date from 1580 AD to 2020 AD, the crashes gone... and I can continue my playing now.

After this, I tried also to change Netherlands birth date to 1585 AD. So then the game crash is coming in 1587 AD.

I assume, something is wrong with a Netherlands script. When they want to born, the game are crashing.
