Bug Reports and Technical Issues

I was unable to build the Itsukushima Shrine in any of my cities for some reason, despite having researched Logistics, being Buddhist and all my cities being coastal. Latest git revision. Should I upload a save?
Another possible reason I could think of is the lack of culture to allow another wonder. But if you upload a save, I can check.

Hi! Leoreth, in case you read this you have nothing but my greatest respect for your work!
I had a so much fun playing this mod in the past.
Anyways, I just tried to install the current version of the mod (no old version present) and when I tried to start the mod (both shortcut/loading through main game) while Bts would continue running, nothing would happen.
After some troubleshooting I ailed the problem down to including the Varietas& and ethnic graphic options. Without that, everythings works fine.
Is this a known issue:
SOme system details:
Windows 10
4k graphic settings (was that an issue maybe)
3.19 Civ IV version
Anything else that is needed?
ANyway, I would love to play this mod in all its glory but I'm also happy without that.

Thanks for everything!
Thanks for playing the mod!

I am pretty sure that the mod will eventually load for you. For whatever reason, when you do a fresh install of the mod the first time launching it can take a while. I assume in the background the system arranges all resources so that they can be quickly loaded in the future. That is also why the problem is most pronounced if you have Varietas Delectat installed. This behaviour only occurs the first time after installation, after that it should be fairly quick. So I'd recommend that you try again (maybe when you are doing something else and don't need the game to load immediately). You can check with task manager if the Beyond the Sword process is still active, as long as it's there it's worth waiting for.

My Galley from Tyre ended up in Baghdad after the city flipped to the Byzantines.

Do you have a save from before the flip? What version is this from?

If someone is willing to help me install and download the game please send me a PM. I would REALLY appreciate it. I have followed all the steps perfectly for both the stable version and developer and can't get either to work.

Weird part: It used to work perfectly. I had too many save files that I didn't use anymore, which I found annoying. so I went in the folder for the game and deleted those save files, then it stopped working. So I deleted the mod and reinstalled, didn't work anymore. I deleted the entire game (civ IV BTS) and then reinstalled the game, then reinstalled the mod, still didn't work. I verified integrity on steam for the game. it said it was fine. but it still didn't work.

Are you using the old version of the game on Steam? Try that 1st if you aren't go to the Steam betas tab and select the original release.

When playing as Rome after the Moors have spawned, all of my units have "Chance to withdraw: 50%" attached to them, making it impossible to conquer anything. Is this expected and if so, where can I find this documented?

Withdrawal chance never makes it so that you can never conquer anything. Units only withdraw if they would have otherwise lost the battle.

Here are two screen captures of this behavior with the withdrawal chance. This never occurred until the post-Roman European civs started spawning.

I can't possibly be this unlucky, right? I have near 100% chance to win a battle and I withdraw, multiple times in a row. And these screen caps do not capture the previous 4 turns in which all of my battles were withdraws.

Tried that, didn't fix it.

edit: where I am supposed to be able to select the mod after loading the only option that comes up is a quicksave for a different mod entirely.

New civilizations have birth protection for some amount of turns after their spawn, indicated by Rise of [Civilization] text on tooltip when hovering over map. During that protection new civilizations units can't be reduced to less than half health if they started combat with more.

Can you upload the save of this situation?

But the intent is that if a unit is above 50% health, you can fight it below 50% health, and if it is below 50% health, you should be able to defeat it. It's not entirely clear from the gif if that is happening.

Another declaration of war from Brazil that have spawn an army. This time was against Russia. Save attached.

Even using Elective or Monarchy, civilizations that have Constitution or/and State Property have republican names. Some examples in the images below.

I'm trying to do the Polynesian religious victory, and I've done all the objectives, but the ocean tile count says not completed, while being over double the required amount.

I started another Japan game and again am not able to build it. Culture is not an issue, it simply doesn't appear in the building options

That is not a problem, it is intentional.
