OK, not sure if it's a proper bug, but when you select the Custom Music Folder option it plays all the tracks in that folder only once. (i.e. no repeat)

GENERAL BUGS:

- The game sometimes crashes when you go into World View or the Military Advisor, especially in the later stages of the game or on a large world with many civs.
- Sometimes the Save Game dialog box doesn’t work properly (e.g. you can’t type anything in to change the name of the file). If this happens at the end of turn, and you press the Enter key, it ends your turn.
- Sometimes the tool-tips that you get when you put your mouse over something disappear. This is important if you’re trading with another civ and you can’t find out what the cost of a technology is.
- Occasionally when you go into the Science Advisor, it flashes on the screen for the moment then returns to the main game.
- The technologies displayed on the Science Advisor are not always correct; some might appear not to have been researched when they have in fact been researched, and vice versa.
- The game only ever autosaves every few turns; the user should be able to set the frequency of autosaves as high as every turn. (This isn’t actually a bug, but it is a design flaw, considering that, especially in multiplayer, hours of game play could be wasted if the game crashes.)
- The ice intermittently appears black, and so does the building that you’re constructing in the city, as well as the flag that the Great Prophets hold.
- Occasionally, for no clear reason, the graphics for one of your units will march away towards some random location on the screen. The unit is actually still where it always was, and once you give it an order it returns to its real position, but it can be disconcerting the first time you see it.
- Once the list of units in the lower left part of the screen listed every unit multiple times, as well as the terrain, defence bonus, etc.
- (Trivial) In the opening movie, the Roman fort on the hill momentarily disappears about halfway through.

I've been having some of these bugs too. Didn't notice the movive.

Not sure what's causing this, but when I updated to v1.61 and tried to play, the resources and terrain textures don't show. For example, I'll see a grassland tile, but the workers will work there as if there's a forest, and if I hover my mouse over the tile it says "Forest/grassland", but I cannot see it. I checked the DeBug tools and regular game options and the Civ4 config file to see if it's an option to disable, but it isn't.

This indicates you're using a no-cd crack or a pirated copy of the game. Get a legitimate copy or stop using cracks as applicable and you won't have this problem.

Ok, this is really minor but it takes exactly 10 seconds to fix it so I hope Firaxis will do that. :)

Basically, the knights shield uses knight-gloss-128.dds, which is clearly wrong (you can see the messed up gloss "pink" in the NIF viewer), and it should be using either shield_gloss_128.dds or shield-gloss-128.dds. Btw, they should really clean up the knight's folder, out of the 14 textures there only 6 are actually being used.

This is a minor Bug in the Diplomacy Screen:

When a leader, whose power rating is higher than yours, makes a demand, the game calls
AI_DIPLO_DEMAND_TRIBUTE_POWER_STRONGER_X
from Assets\XML\Text\CIV4DiplomacyText.xml to get the Diplo text displayed. X is either an integer 1-8, or LeaderName_1

There is a spelling mistake in Louis CIV4DiplomacyText.xml entry:
AI_DIPLO_DEMAND_TRIBUTE_POWER_STRONGER_LOUIS_XIV instead of AI_DIPLO_DEMAND_TRIBUTE_POWER_STRONGER_LOUIS_XIV_1

DiploBug1.JPG

so that when the game calls
AI_DIPLO_DEMAND_TRIBUTE_POWER_STRONGER_LOUIS_XIV_1
the following text is displayed:

Suppose you're building a world wonder, and you have a settler (or worker) next in your production queue. One of your opponents builds the wonder, so you can't continue building it. Say your city generates F food and H hammers. Then your production is applied to the settler (or worker), and so is your food. But your food was also applied to population growth (before the check for the wonder being completed). Result: you get F food added to the food box, and also F+H hammers added to the settler (or worker) production.

Idont think this would work, but i haven't tried it. Does it work?

I'm not sure if someone already posted this, if so, I'm sorry.

There is a problem when you have signed a defensive pact with (in my case) multiple leaders and someone else who has a vassal attacks you. If this happens it will say: "Mr x has declared war with you." then it will say "You have declared war with Mr y" (Mr x being the maser and Mr y being the vassal). Now since the game thinks you declared war with someone it will cancel all your defensive pacts....

In my last game I had singed several defensive pacts and someone with a vassal state declared war on me. Now the strange thing was that one leader with who I signed a defensive pact did declare war but the other 3 didn't. I think this was because in turns the leader who did not get the defensive pact canceled came before the vassal.

Shouldn't be too hard to fix :)

Hi,
your page says I need at least 5 postings to report a bug in Civ4 Warlords. Rather than writing 5 posts with the text "Test", I'd like to send you the save in which my game crashes, producing a message saying:

(CIV IV: Warlords: Civ4Warlords.exe - Application Error)

The instruction at "0x00993487" referenced memory at "0x0000002c". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program.

I use Windows XP, with the 1.61 patch. The problem occurs even when I go back to a earlier save. In essence, I don't do anything before the crash, just standning around with my troups clicking on nothing except for the red button to continue. This is around 1641. Where do I send my save? Or can you help me using the information? Will there be a patch coming out soon?

... also, I still can't see anything but shadows of animals rumoured to be existing in their assigned tiles. Big shadows for elephants, tiny ones for pigs. This didn't work in the civ1v either, pre-warlords extension. How do I fix this?

Hey everybody,
I have been looking forward to playing Civ IV but when I installed it and the expansion, whenever I tired to play it, the computer restarted. i tried reinstalling it but that wouldnt work either.
I have a top of the line computer so it wont be the graphics card.
Could someone help me?
Email me @ samos_123@hotmail.com

Hello,
I have installed civ v1.61 and Warlords 2.0.0.0 and in both games City Raider promotion is not working regulary. When attacking city it is not calculated in combat ods.

More likely, you just don't understand how it works. Generally, the City Raider promotion will decrease the reported strength of the defender, as opposed to increasing the reported strength of the attacker. If you really want to know how combat works then you need to read the articles here:

I observerd a strange bug last night when I play a multiplayer game.

I played with another partner a PBEM game and try to load the save and play it via a Direct IP connection. Well - it works but with a problem : no popup-ups/panels appear in the game. Not the one when finnished to build something in a city, not the one to select the next tech, not even the Diplomatic Table was available !!
After finnished the "on-line" session and receive the following move via PBEM system all worked perfect ... :mischief:

Thanks for your attention and regards all

I don't think switching from PBEM to IP play is supported, so it's not surprising that you had trouble. It would be a nice feature to add, but it's not a bug.

Yes - but is strange that, except this problem, the game works perfect ! :crazyeye:

When interacting with your Sam Unit the game produces an awful loud reverbarating sound that scares the hell out of me. It happens only when using the sam unit.
