I can't begin a game with graphics on high. So I begin on low. Then, I can kick the graphics up to high. Exit. Then load that current game. The glitch is still there and the map "shutters" when I move it. I'm fine with playing with low, given the marginal equipment that I'm using.

Thank you!!! While trying to figure out what you were asking for and how to get it to you, I noticed that my graphics card driver was dated 2001 (?) The updated that I installed was 2003. Somehow, it didn’t “take.” This time, I went to the Nvidia site and used their automated option to study my system and then install the correct update (2006). Bingo, problem solved. Thank you for being involved and thank you for nudging me into deeper waters

BtS, Next War: I have a funny and annoying bug where the Assault mech graphics keep popping up on other units.

To recreate: Have an ACTIVE Assault Mech nearby
select another unit (this generally happens with tanks, planes, and a few ships)

The unit stays there, but the Assault mech disappears from its location (the alliance flags are still there) and its graphics reappear on (attached to) the selected unit.

Also, the mech graphics pop up when another mech is selected, one of them is still at an angle.

not sure wether this is a bug, i was in first place and Victoria (my vassal) was in second then i build the UN, and the diplomatic election begins, everyone but myself votes for Victoria and she wins a diplomatic victory, WTH!!!

can you see my frustration?

vassals will vote for themselves if they are eligible in votes - in all other cases they'll vote for the master - so this is intended I guess.

Bug, i have tried to download civ 4 patch 3.19 6 different times each time its says download finished restart you browser to begin playing and then when i click about this build it stills says 3.17 and when i click check for updates 3.19 is there

i am using complete cd version, windows 7 beta version is my operating system

did you try installing the patch with administrator rights?

I have seen people here playing the game on 7 - and the patch works with complete (either the EU or the US version - though the EU version is patched to 3.13 and the US to 3.17 from the start) - did you install it with admin rights?

OK, I've (re)installed BtS patched 3.17-3.19 and can't load the game due to python load error...
