It caps at 10% of your total gold, but that's only if the random roller rolls the max value. You'd have to have 1500 in the bank, and be absolutiey unlucky, to get that.

I know how it works, I'm just saying that barbarians raiding the fields for more gold the the city actually produces makes no sense. It's not like my citizens run around with gold from my treasury out in the open fields for some reason.

If this is even possible, my suggestion would be letting barbs raid a random number between 50 and 100% of the income of one random yield (or possibly nothing at all) in the city every turn.

The 'theft' of gold is more of a destruction of property concept. 'Pillaging' stuff means destroying and stealing.

Well pillaging is already a thing, that's when barbarians ruin your improvements.

I'm just saying that it makes no sense for a barbarian in one remote city to hurt your economy globaly. It is a local issue that should affect the local area.

Also I'm pretty sure the hardcap can't possibly be at 10%, because I've now lost 20 gold with around 100 in my bank 8 times in just this game.
 
Actual bug this time: Candi only provides +1 food on mentioned resources, not +2

Also the indonesian UA should probably trigger in all cities, not just the first 3 (or if you're deadset on just the first 3, maybe make it spawn 2 in both) Because right now my UA is boring.
 
All cities might be a bit much, but going back to the base game's "first three cities on a different landmass" might not be a bad idea. Crossing ocean tiles just comes FAR to late to wait on one city for, so the only way to actually use the UA to it's full effect at the moment is to luck into a situation where you can reach a new landmass through coast tiles.

Getting one luxury per settled city isn't that unreasonable for a UA imho, maybe put a hardcap at the number of civs in the game, but I'm not sure that would be needed. There are a lot of powerful UAs and indonesia have a terrible UU and a pretty mediocre UB (especially with the 3 city limit)

Also all forcing you to cross ocean-tiles is going to do is make indonesia better on watermaps (where they already are pretty decent because of double luxuries and no isolation) at the cost of making them even worse at pangeas, where they currently blow.

Wow man, I did not mean one unique luxury for every city. I meant one random of the existing 3, even cutting that number down to two or one would be fair. And if that is still unreasonable then as suggested a hardcap at the number of civs on the map would be fine. (2 cities on duel, 4 on tiny, 6 on small, 8 on standard, 10 on large, 12 on huge).

Since I can't really explain my feelings I'll try once again, the UA feels really boring once you've settled your first 3 cities. Settling 3 cities on a map larger than duel isn't really an accomplishment, you can pretty much expand away from all other AI and still settle 3 cities. My vision for Indonesia is that they take the risk to keep expanding to either worse/remote locations or into the AI because they know that their expansions are worth more than other peoples expansions (because of spices). This creates a more fun playstyle for the player, trying to get away with as much expansion as possible while being ready to defend your borders (whereever they may be). You also need to keep in mind that if your expanding pisses people off you have no tradepartners for your spice anyways, leaving you with no real win anyways.
It also creates a more interesting playstyle while you're playing against Indonesia. You can either play friendly with them and try to get them to trade their spice with you, or you can prey on their weak expansions and take their spices for your own.

My other point is that without your spices your UB is pretty damn situational and boring, I mean I still haven't haven't built it in half my cities in my current game and I'm in modern era now.


Also I'm well aware that this is not the place to discuss this and that I should have taken this in a leader discussion thread, but I just didn't expect it to turn into an argument. In fact I'll just doublepost this in the leader discussion thread if you feel like responding to it.
 
Ok after a longer break I downloaded the newest version of CP and CBP. Along with some other Mods I tried to play a match, but the game crashed to desktop.

So I came to the core problem:
Yet (not) Another Earth Maps Pack (v 23) & Community Patch (v 66.13.5) = Crash

It means that by activating YnAEMP and CP the game will crash to desktop. I followed the standard procedure by deleting the Cache and the ModUserData folder. Some versions ago (I think it was in Dec. 2014) it was working. So there must me a new issue with the Community Patch.

For testing purpose I recommend the new Version of JFD, he took over the support of the Map-Pack and it will not spam the log files as much as the version 22: YnAEMP v23
Before you ask, yes the game is also crashing with version 22 ;)

I do not use EUI if someone would like to ask me, only the two Mods above are active.

I attached the log-files and the minidump file. I hope you can help me :)

@EDIT: OK, the game is also crashing with CP only.. I have to investigate more..

Shuffled Western Europe crashes to desktop aswell in this verson. Haven't tried any of the other shuffled ones because starting the game take ages.

I really would like to know why it is crashing, because in the past it was not. I recently tried out NPEM, but it's not the same.. I miss the huge map..
 
The Egyptian UU doesn't seem to give any production to the capital for units killed, tried both with barbs, civ-units and citystate units.
 
It seems that Askia's "River Connection" grants bonus Production; Railroad Modifier 25%.
Is this intentional?

At what point? All the time, or just once you've researched railroads?

No idea. I'll have to look into it at some point. No offense, but bugs within CBP take precedence over mod related mod bugs. :)

I understand, I will hope that in the future you will find out what is causing the crash when only Community Patch and YnAEMP are active.

Even because it is in german, I read out the minidump file and my suspicion has been confirmed. It has something to do with the CvGameCore_Expansion2.dll, but unfortunately I don't know what.. I will now return to my learning for the exams, see you soon..
