Ok, it's minor though, but always welcome.

I don't know if this is a bug :

What happened :
- Germany is my vassal. I'm at war with Ethiopa, and so was Germany.
- My turn starts : I make peace with a city state which was previously allied with Ethiopia.
- I end my turn.
- Germany, during its turn, makes peace with Ethiopia
- Ethiopia regains control of the previously mentionned CS : this CS declares war on me and ...
- Germany and Ethiopia starts being at war again
- And the CS is at war with me.

So it seems that the CS changing its state toward me (peace/war) triggered a war between Germany and Ethiopia, which in the same turn signed a peace treaty. If I remember correctly, it's impossible to declare war again (during X turns) after a peace treaty (I don't know if the AI must respect this rule though), which leaves only one possibility : an automatic war trigger because of the CS, which does not seem to make sense to me.

This is a lingering bug in the civ 4 diplomacy features mod. As I didn't write the mod, I'd have to spend some time with it to figure out how to solve it. It is a fringe case, and an odd one at that, but I'll keep it in mind if I ever get around to fixing that mod.

Alright. Sorry to spam this thread, would you like me to add those 2 bugs on the github repo ?

So I kinda realized that I should have put it here instead of the 'How to install' topic, sorry about that.

Just throwing out a question here, has anyone been able to play saves after quitting to desktop? I don't know if this would cause the issue honestly but I figured I would ask and hopefully get an answer.

I play a game (Which works just fine.) but when I save, quit the game, and come back to it later I CTD when I try to load any of the saves.

Yeah, that'd be great. They'll be on the list, but definitely 'things to look at later.'

Thanks for your reports, as always! Very helpful.

You're welcome. I'm going to do that right now.

No problem on my side. I have a CTD when I want to load a game while in-game (not on the main menu). But not when trying to load after quitting the game.

Using the standard set of mods, or have you added any? Also, any thing else I should know? I'll try and replicate.

I use the CP, CPB, CSD, bunch of whoward's mods, and more than enough wonder mods, haha. It would be way easier to go through if I could somehow merge the wonder mods into one thing...

Oddly enough Deluxe I have the opposite problem. I could load my saves in-game no problem but once I quit to desktop and tried it normally that when I couldn't load anything anymore.

About how far into the game do you get when you save? Any particular point?

Hrmm...right about...Medieval Era? In fact, there was one time where I loaded a save in-game I think right about that time and I CTD. It was the only time that happened. Then the can't load any save issue came up.

I'll let you know if I find anything. In the meantime, if you have any minidumps in your civ base install folder (in your steamapps directory), post it here for me.

Here you go Gazebo. Also, I used a saved map from Communitias and had the game set at Marathon and Settler difficulty.

A few things that I remember noticing in a game yesterday.

Entering a new era by researching all techs in the old era (Not by researching straight into the new era) does not trigger the bonusyields from that founderbelief(the one that triggers on new eras). researching a tech into the new era after that did not give me the yields either so I essentially lost them for that era.

I built a hanging garden in my non-river capital and got a free garden for it, after that I'm still able to build the baths building for another 25% GPP. I didn't actually test if they both provide the bonus, but the building still shouldn't be buildable from what I can gather.

Minor bug: When you get the freedom tenet that gives you a free hospital in each city it does so only on the continent in which you have your capital.

You sure about this? There's nothing in the dll that would make this happen when getting a free building from a policy (i.e. there's no 'area' check).

The garden/bath thing is unavoidable, due to the fact that that bath and the garden are separate buildings. We could either take away the HG's free garden or force it to be by a river to be buildable.

Good catch on the era bug - easy fix.

I thought it was possible to have mutually exclusive buildings (solar vs. nuclear plant). Can't this be set the same way? In most cases it would do nothing (as the pre-requisites are already mutually exclusive) but it would catch corner cases.

The XML tag seems to be <MutuallyExclusiveGroup> where buildings in the same group are, well, mutually exclusive (integer field).

We can, yes. I misunderstood Funak's question (I thought he was saying he wanted to be able to build both, but have the bonus only apply from one).

Edit: re-reading Funak's post. It makes sense, I just misinterpreted it (busy day, brain a little slow!).

Bug 1 : Seems that the "sovereignty" policy does not work correctly : I get only +5 happiness (this is confirmed by the tooltip, +5 from global social policy), but not the happiness due to cities connection with the capital.
Bug 2 : Not exactly a bug, but I find really weird that submarines can attack cities, especially that they deal more damages (almost twice more) than a battleship, and are cheaper. Never really occured to me that I could attack a city with submarines actually. Their bonus in attack (+75%) and the wolfpack bonuses (+15% when attacking) make them really deadly against cities, I don't think the bonuses are intended to produce this effect
