This option is btw. in the CP folder. I deactivated the option and I also deactivated "No More Civilian Traffic Jams". No difference, even when I play the game in english. I activated the debug panel to see what is going on.. There is not much. I unchecked the Simultaneous turn processing, because I thought it would be an error that their path finding is killing each others processing, but I am not sure if the unchecked option "Simultaneous" means that also the City States are processed one by one.

So far as I was able to see it: One City State settled (found a City), all or the most were standing still, while the processing was in progress.

  • One theory could be, that only one (I am quiet sure that it was only one) City State found a City and the processing ended here. It could be that the AI then don't know what to do e.g. what building to choose.
  • Another theory could be, that one City State successfully found a City while the other ones were not able to move, because of a restriction or the script which tells them where it would be the best to found a City is not working properly.

In which order do you activated YnAEMP? At first and then the megapack or vice versa?

EDIT:
As far as I can see it, I can reproduce the problem with these Mods active:
  • EUI (from the MegaPack)
  • Community Balance Patch - CSD Compatibility (v.1)
  • Yet (not) Another Earth Maps Pack (v.23)
  • Community Patch - CSD Compatibility Enabler (v.1)
  • Community Balance Patch (v.13)
  • Community Patch (v.66)
  • City-State Diplomacy Mod - Community Balance Patch Edition (v.26)

There was a probability of 4 to 6 that this was working. I think that my luck ended, after the fourth try I was not able to continue my first turn anymore..

Because it is sometimes working under different active mods constellations and sometimes not, I don't know if it was a fluke that it was working with only these mods active:
  • EUI (from the MegaPack)
  • Yet (not) Another Earth Maps Pack (v.23)
  • Community Balance Patch (v.13)
  • Community Patch (v.66)

To be clear, are you revealing the entire map on turn 1? If so, the city-establishment stuff will take forever (10 minutes or so) as the city founding animations fire whether or not you have quick actions turned on.

I don't think so, because when it was working I waited only for a minute or so.. Quick actions is not enabled I think.. I saw their movement..

Estebanium, just an idea: did you try playing without city states completely? It seems your problem is related to city states, but maybe something else is causing it ... ?
No I haven't. I am sure that this will help. I also made a list with which City States it is working and which which it isn't, but it consumes a lot of time.. I am not yet finished with my investigation.

After installing the mega pack, I can no longer trade technologies or create vassals. The "Technologies" option in diplomacy doesn't do anything but pull up a long blank list, and on my side of the diplomacy options says TXT_KEY_TECHNOLOGIES. "Capitulation" or "Vassal" does nothing either. They're also white (not gray) from the start of the game.

Will this be fixed?

Also I noticed that there are three mods for Civ IV Diplomacy (main and compatibility/enabler mods) included. Do all three need to be active? (They currently are for me).

They don't work even after entering Medieval/researching Astronomy?

You cleared your cache, right?

New version coming out shortly with some big chnanges. The Megapack, while a novel idea, is proving to be a pain, as I don't think that the MODS folder likes having a bunch of mods dumped in there at once. I don't think I'll be retaining the Megapack (at least not until we hit the 'final' version of the mod...someday).

The last few updates now work with Large Islands map (thanks:)) but for some reason don't work with archipelago maps -- I get a freeze on the first turn.

Thanks for the cure to the Large Islands. I'll be satisfied with that. :)

I'll test – this might be related to the problem Estebanium is having with YNAEMP...

Delekhan, did you see my question about firetuner? Try running it in the background when you play a game and select a leaderhead to see if any errors may appear. Since I'm not seeing any errors, I wonder if there's an install issue or something else.

I didn't see your question. I can do that, but sadly I won't be able to play Civ for a bit since they're sending me to beautiful Afghanistan again on a consulate trip. Will be back in a couple of weeks.

Regarding it being an install issue, I don't think so, since I checked the integrity of the Steam installation, then deleted and uninstalled, and so on. It looks like Funak is getting this issue too - it was fine before the Mega Pack release.

Honestly it's not that big a deal since I don't trade techs, and could care less about the AI's world map. I do like Vassals though.

I tested the new version for 80 turns last night.

I noticed that other leaders were randomly getting negative diplomatic modifiers. China has "Your behavior troubles them" for about 14 turns then it disappeared. Russia had "Your behavior infuriates them" for over 20 turns.

This is in 1100 BC, mind you. If this is related to the victory condition AI behavior, should it really be coming up that early?

Pretty sure the issue is global but people don't bother reporting it. It was present in joosegoose25 screenshot in the http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=542122 thread aswell.

4) This one has nothing to do with things that have been changed in the CPP, but it's an AI suggestion (with the caveat that Civ 5 AI is a mess and difficult to improve). AI seems to have little regard to unit positioning when declaring/ending war.

It is normal, yeah. When an AI first meets you, it'll try to evaluate what GS you are going for – during this time, it is likely to think that you and it are pursuing either the same GS or a different GS, thus they'll get a bit angry. You will probably see this only with civs that are very competitive regarding victory (or very mean). When it goes away, it means the AI has 'normalized' their opinion of you. I like to think of it is a 'we just met you' hostility element.

As I've said, I'm just not seeing this problem on my end. I've tried permutation after permutation, but I've got nothing. The only thing I can imagine is that it is EUI, as I don't test with EUI active.

Shouldn't the opposite be possible aswell? 'We just met you so we like you' It totally depends on your attitude towards meeting people I guess.

Well, that it was about EUI and the EUI compability was obvious, didn't think I had to mention that :D

Yeah I assumed it was just EUI compatibility so I didn't report it. I also had turned off technology trading/brokering and had not yet unlocked vassalage or map trading so I couldn't tell you if they were working or not.

Looks like a chunk of LUA wasn't pushed over correctly for the EUI compatibility files (FYI, I've completely re-written the EUI compatibility files, so they're my responsibility now). I'll update the EUI compatibility files shortly - will be savegame compatible, though you'll want to clear your cache when you do the install.

I've also merged the toppanel changes from CBP/CSD/C4DF into EUI, so I'll include the overwrite instructions for that as well.
