The issue here is DLC. As noted on the 'How to Install' thread, you need to have all of the leader DLC.

Whoops! I feel like a dingus now that I see that right up top on that thread. I thought I had read elsewhere that you only needed G&K and BNW. Now I feel like a jerk, wasting your time when you do all this stuff for free. ~_~ I'm sorry. I'll go scurry off and wait for a steam sale.

Don't feel bad! There are so many potential bugs and/or errors that I am never unhappy when I have to scour code for errors. I almost always find something to tweak, even if it wasn't related to your bug.

I have some strange issues with trading:

I began a new game with the latest version of CPP and some strange behavior got my attention. So when I wanted to buy a double resource from a Civ, I normally select them and hit "What will make this deal work?". Normally the specific Civ would choose the amount of gold or some other things in addition, but by clicking on the button they will only say something like "That's unacceptable."

When I then select an amount of gold and hit "Propose" they will accept the deal at a specific amount of goods/gold I will offer. I was never able to make a deal by hitting "What will make this deal work?", they always refused my deal.

One time I got an offer by Ethiopia. He wanted to donate 300 gold just for our friendship. I hit accept and I ended up in the trade menu, where his offer laid on the left side. I hit "Propose" but he refused the deal..

Yeah, it is a lua issue with EUI that I believe I've fixed for the next version. We'll see.

Edit: Also, I made the icon you designed my new avatar! Much snazzier!

I got something similar but it was with vassalage. I tried it with 4 different civilizations and they all accepted when I sweetened the deal enough but only 1 became my vassal. Also I'm wondering when the thing to ask leaders what they think of others is available, I never got that to show up but it showed up in earlier versions.

Ah ok, that makes sense. You are welcome! I am glad that you like it :goodjob:

In my current game, every one of the 15 AI chose Liberty. (I did too, and was the first civ to grab a policy... no idea if that matters) I'm thinking that can't be a fluke. My immersion... :(

The AI may be flavored a bit high with regards to liberty, but there is nothing intrinsic that would make them do so. Sounds like a fluke, but one influence by slightly-too-high flavors for liberty.

Ah I see. Thanks for the quick response. Two more things while I'm tinkering with this game: It doesn't seem as though the Liberty Opener culture bonus for constructing buildings is applying to buildings purchased... don't know if that's intended. Also, as much as I love seeing early trade routes, the AI doesn't seem that great at protecting them from barbs

EDIT: The building purchase thing is not the case after all, my bad.

I think I may have found the explanation for the AI leaning so heavily (read unanimously) toward liberty: <PolicyType>POLICY_CITIZENSHIP</PolicyType>
<FlavorType>FLAVOR_TILE_IMPROVEMENT</FlavorType>
<Flavor>2155</Flavor>

I changed the 2155 figure to 15 and have seen an even policy spread in the test game I just started.

Ha! No idea how or when that got changed. I'll fix it in the next version.

Not a bug report but the Communitias map bundled with this doesn't work with Reseed!. It shows the map and all that but it doesn't allow you to create a new map.

hi all,

everytime i try to load a savegame or regenerate the map, the game crashes. anyone else have this problem?

cache cleared, full 3/2 installation with cp,cbp, csd, cdf,ed and eui.

The free Great Prophet you get from Theology does not have your Religion if you have already founded one. It has to be settled to be of use.

So uhm, it's not exaclty bug with the mod, it's more like idiotically programmed AI. In my game Egypt was in war with Polynesia, and they were getting their asses handed to them. The great and mighy Pharaoh was about to lose his capital (under attack, less than half hp) and then he asks me if we should wage war on another civilization (which neither of us has a dirrect connection with, and these kind of wars usually just end after some time, since neither of the civs want to spend time on moving troops through lands of other nations).
Another scenario - Netherlands is in war with 3 civs, they're getting their asses whooped, lost capital, lost most of cities - only 2 left. William the Annoying then decied to pay me a visit and demands that I leave one of the city states I'm a friend with since basically begining of the game. Since I'm no pushover, I tell him to get over with. He declares war on me.
This kind of AI behaviour always ruined the experience for me (I don't think I'm the only one). I was wondering, if it's possible to, like, turn off some decisions for AI depending on a situation they are in? Or is it too hard coded?

I produce Pikemen in a city which has Barracks.
So they can get one promotions.
But when they become Musketmen, they get "one more" promotion.

This occurs from version 2/3, and occurs when I change the combat class (Melee to Gunpowder).
I think this is related to the following.

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=542945
Unit level resets to 1 after an upgrade that changes the unit's combat class

When Mounted bowmen become Lancers, they lose ranged promotions and receive XP (this is great).
When Pikemen become Musketmen, they "don't" lose melee promotions and receive XP.

Opening your borders to another player boosts their tourism, instead of boosting your tourism. It really doesn't make sense. Opening your borders means you're welcoming more tourists, leading to a direct boost in your tourism. This argument is simple enough.
I know this is a problem with BNW itself but no fix has been enacted since forever. I suggest it be fixed for CP by increasing your tourism when selling open borders. Alternatively, by making open borders always mutual.
