Bug Reports

Maybe it would help if the workers spawn 1 turn later. It could be that AI disbands the workers because it has no cities the first turn.

That´s a clever idea! I think it´s worth a try! :goodjob:

do the americans start without settlers if you refuse giving them your east coast cities as the british on purpose or is this a bug???
oh, and they had no techs at all which was definitely was a bug....

btw: the british uhv is fun but still too easy in 1.42 :-)

Holy king, upload the save so Rhye can look it. It does not depend whether you give the cities or not, I had the same bug.

It looked crazy when Roosevelt begged Mining from me.

It seems the "no tech, no units" start bug is still effective in version 1.42. In my latest game as Rome, when the Spanish appeared, they asked for Gades (Nova Cartago was autorazed:mad: ). If I say yes, they get it but have no tech and only the lone archer that I left in Gades. If I say no, they have no tech, appear in the tyle to the extreme north-west of Spain with 1 worker, 3 swords and 3 longbows. Than, when France appears, if I say no they appear again elsewhere with a couple of offensive units but with no tech/settlers. If I say yes, they take my cities but have no tech/starting units.
Here is the save file right before the Spanish start.

Well... it lasted me a week to read the entire thread, but it seems like I'm the the first to get this bug, if it IS a bug. Otherwise, something's going wrong with my RFC, so I think this is the proper place to speak about it.

What happens to me is that I just cannot play further than turn 128, it doesn't care the civ I pick. If I choose a civ that starts later than 150 AD (which is the Armaggeddon date, at least to me :( ) the game plays until the fatidic turn, when the game crashes and kicks me out to the desktop. It happened to me in versions 138 and 142.

I think I have a save on turn 124... I'll play to turn 127, and post it tomorrow, for example (I'm not in my PC, right now)

Otherwise, I think this mod is impressive!! :goodjob: It really gets me mad to not be able to play further... No other mod or scenario gave me problems, until now.

That was a problem in an older version, I seem to recall. Certain civs crashed to the desktop at a certain period if you picked them, but I don't know what could be causing it in the more recent versions.

I've encountered a new bug with the congresses. So far, there have been 3 congresses in my game, and I think this has happened in all 3, but I only just picked up on it at the 3rd. The same people have been invited to all 3, which isn't all that odd... Except one of those people is Montezuma. I don't know if that's a bug or not, but that's not the problem I'm having anyways. The congress opens up and works fine so far as I know, and then it gets to Montezuma's turn and he requests Kingston, and he's requested it in the last 2 congresses. Before, I just assumed the English took it back. But anyways, the vote passes and he (supposedly) gets it. The congress continues, except whenever anyone votes, the vote for Kingston comes up again, and nothing happens. It happens on every single vote after the Kingston one except for mine, which occurs as normal. So, since it had been 3 congresses in a row that Monty requested Kingston, I checked the worldbuilder directly after the congress and Kingston was still english. None of the other cities had changed hands, either. I have a save game but I suspect it may be too big.

Edit: Thanks, Elhoim. Got the save upladed now. http://forums.civfanatics.com/uploads/96208/Peter_AD-1892_Turn_355.Civ4SavedGame

Trying to start a game as the Mali (first attempt using 1.42 although used them in previous versions).

During autoplay I see a antarctic unit has appeared but the gmae seems to be stuck in a loop with 11 turns remaining. This is the second time this has happened. Been looking at 11 turns remaining for about 15 minutes.

This one it`s a game with Chinese. I have tried also with Egyptians and Arabians for the same result. I didn't tried the other civs, but I'll do, and tell if only these ones are effected (I hope so, it's a pity not to be able to play with two civs, but it'll be worse not to be able to play with no one at all  ).

there is no bug. It's okay.

It must be a problem of your installation, or more probably, a conflict with another mod in customassets folder

OK, it seems like something in my installation was a little silly. I've re-installed all the whole game with patches to v161, and now it works everything all right!! Creepy, ain't it? :crazyeye: Well, I just don't understand what happened, but you know, sometimes computers seem alive and damn mad :scan:

fixed. it was introduced in 1.42

Woah....that's weird. Well I've never seen it happen before and the congresses proceded as normal afterwards so don't worry about it.

Jungle clearing question....playing as the Mali, shouldn't I be able to clear jungle to mine gems right away and not have to wait for biology? I seem to recall being able to clear jungle to get other resources in other locations on the map.

I forgot about it. Yes you should but you can't.

Also it is 1310 AD as the Mali, and while I have the most gold with 891 i failed the first task. I checked in debugmode and the Inca are closest to me with 691 gold, yet i failed the first task.
