It's quite hard to get the current version (404) to work sensibly. there are decent hotfixes for the manpower and policy issues, but it seems the 2 tech loop issues and the loading time issues are making this version reasonably unplayable, and they are somewhat harder to hotfix. gilga is currently working on a new, hopefully more stable version, but it seems that he's had to rebuild it from the ground up due to modbuddy issues. By all means keep playing to try and find solutions to problems, but i wouldn't get too attached to any games in particular as there are underlying problems in this version
 
You are not alone i am very irritated right now because for the second time in a row i lost a great campaign because i can't load up my save game anymore the first time i was over 500 turns in this time its 293 turns in playing on emperor with shaka. I have tried everything and nothing works to fix this. This is a great mod i love it but right now it seems it is very unplayable at the moment. Can the mod author or someone please help shed some light into this perplexing issue. Thank you in advance.
Apparently Gilg ran into some modbuddy problems and has to rebuild the mod from the ground up, not sure if it's true though.
 
I can't figure out the tech problem. the tech problems are in the Technologies_prereq file, but any time I try to remove them or change the prereq, the game freezes on the loading screen. I can not find any other references that could cause a conflict in loading. The only thing I could find was a importing of a workshop backup prereq file in the modinfo, but removing that didn't help either. Any ideas? I was hoping to get around this until Gilga was able to finish his mod.
 
I did an experiment if I change the requirements of the monarchy, including the requirement by removing the "Pharao" the monarchy becomes playable but if I try to eliminate the requirements of the "Philosophy" or those of the "Code of Laws", in order to unlock the Tech Tree their associates, the game Freeze.
I tried another experiment I changed the requirements of the "Code of Laws" putting requirements like: "Monarchy" and "Oral Tradition" without unlocking the "Monarchy", leaving it unplayable. A new game loads faster. But as soon as I try to unlock the "Monarchy", the game will freeze ...
I think I understand that it is the tree of technology related to "Philosophy" and the "Code of Laws" to have problems.

I tried making a separate mod with the tech files to see if I could fix the loop that way. I haven't been able to yet, but think I can verify the problems are with in the tech folder. I removed the tech folder from cctp, and with out it a new game loaded before the narrator could finish talking. when I activated the separate tech mod, it once again took forever(nearly) to load. And when altering the philosophy/code of laws loop, it woud freeze. So somewhere in techs is the underlining loop/ loading time problem.
 
Whenever I try to play this mod I can't select any other Civ than Morocco! Also it crashes before I get 30-50 turns in. Oh and none of the hotkeys work... Unplayable!
 
Found the problem with tech and loading time. lines were not closed in prereq file (w\UNION ALL) causing the program to not be able to load it correctly. I uploaded a modinfo file w\ manpower fix and prereq file with tech\loading tume fix here

not sure if it works with save, about to try that, but new game loaded quickly

Does this also fix the policy bug? I'd like to see the advancement screen come to the game so FiresForever's Lua scripts need to be modified.
 
I think after being wrong a couple of times I finally got the tech prerequisite file to work. could some one please try it to verify?

Place Community Call To Power V.4.04 (v 1) folder into C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\ folder
Copy over existing files - make back ups so if you want to uninstall you can just copy back over.
(This is a fix for tech loop, loading time, manpower, and advancement screen)
Only use tech prereq file for new games- crashes old saves

Policy bug is related with advancement screen (AS), just move them out of folder.

For the multiple policy tree, iam not sure if Fires work is still compatible to the current version of CiV.

The easiest way is to include the AS, and change it so that we could add infinity plocies at we wish.

We could use the old names and icons from old CCTP Policies to save time.

What do mean you cant load the save game?
Did CiV crash when you load the save or is it a more that the game is in a loading loop?

Sometimes a load can take several minutes, this depends on your running machine, its much more then in vanilla.

Can you provide logs?

There could be a lot of reasons while this happen.

F.E. changing gamefiles can corrupt your save.

Since i didnt encountered this problem i realy need more informations to provide propper help.

Thanks Gilga for your response it was crashing when loading the save it will go into the screen with the leader showing while loading probably 2 or 3 mins in to the loading process it just crashes. No errors or anything. I have a cyberpower gaming rig amd quad core 3.9 ghz windows 8.1 64 bit with amd radeon r7 graphics card so i think i have a decent enough rig.

It was weird really but the good news is that i downloaded the new fix for cctp and did a test run of 90 turns and no problems so far. I'll keep testing further and if the same issue comes up again i'll post my logs and save game here for you. I should've done that the first time my apologies i guess i didn't have enough coffee that morning. Thanks again.:)
 
Ran the game for some time, completely random CTD around Turn 50. Used gyogen2's fix. I was running the game on WINE, though, that may have contributed to the error.
