Build more or all Buildings in City Center?

For playing on world maps / small islands maps it might be usefull to have a mod which allows to build all buildings in City Center (similar to Civ 1-5). Districts would become optional tile-improvements with bonus yield. Wonders would still be built outside the city.

However I assume that building everything in City Center might lead to problems visualizing buildings on the map. What is your experience?
