You know cd's are about to become obselete don't you. Why don't you buy an normal mp3 player. They are cheaper, smaller and have much larger capacity.
I use CD as hard back up copies incase something happens to my Dell Jukebox.

I'm looking at buying a personal CD player and i'm willing to spend up to £60 (just above is acceptable), i would like it to read MP3 discs and i would use it when walking fairly fast (i find it gets knocked about in my pocket more than in most peoples, although i could put it in a bag  ), i don't really care about battery life as long as its 10 hours+, i mainly want good sound quality. Any ideas on a good one?

Thanks :goodjob:

PS: i'll get a link to a possible one i've found soon.

LISTEN TO ME VERY CAREFULLY!

Whatever you choose, buy Sony

I have owned countless personal disc players. I have dropped all different brand players and have had them break on me the first drop. I apparently have a problem holding onto my disc players. I have dropped my Sony disc player a gazillion times and the damn thing still works perfectly. Sony may be a bit more expensive, but it is damn-well worth every penny. After a multitude of problems with various other electronics, I have come to respect and buy Sony products whenever possible. I know I sound like a commercial, but trust me, I don't like commercials, I don't like advertising and the corporate world. Sony is one corporation that I have no problem saying is the best at what they do. BAR NONE!

Yup, Sony are great... I have a Sony CD Walkman (D-SJ15) for three and a half years, it's seen extensive use for most of that period, and it still works abslutely fine... I switched to a new Sony MD Walkman (MZ-N420D) a couple of months ago, which does a great job and is way smaller and lighter, though I'm very careful not to ever drop it cause it's so nice and shiny at the moment (and it feels delicate, but it probably isn't in actuality)... My only problems with it are that it doesn't remember my choice of display mode, and that I can't use the awsome ATRAC3PLUS format in normal PC media players... It's still way better than any CD player.

I will look at a Sony then :hmm: although i have had bad experiences with some of their products before... My old ministry of sound has been bashed about and the top came off countless times, but it only takes 30 seconds to put it back together again :D. Well i'll see what i'm gonna get this weekend, and i might have to put it on hold to buy a new Gamecube and TS:FP...
