BZ2: The Penguin Returns
Awakening from his slumber, the Penguin has emerged from the Bay of Cape Cod (Insert "Jaws" theme music here)
He sees much difference from when he went to sleep. He calls on the words of those departed regarding what to do and he assumes he gets things right.
IBT: I trade Hammi Medicine for Electricity.
Iro calv kills Siphai, spear pillages Iron.
T1: Uskudar: Rifle->Siphai. A note: Iznik can do the MA in 8. It finishes a Siphai and starts it.
T2: Arabia and Irq sign Embargo. Irq spear pilages Iron. Istanbul: Siphai->Siphai (sending that to take care of the spear). Bursa: Rifle->Sipahi. Siphai v Spear- Wins. No damage, promoted.
T3: IBT: 4/4 rifle v calv. Rifle wins. Same thing. Rifle wins, redlined. Edrine: Siphai->Siphai. That one take care of another pillaging spear. Wins, 2 damage. 4/5 Siphai v 3/3 Musket. Wins, no damage. 4/4 Siphai v 2/2 Rifle. Mauch Chunk raised. 1 slave taken.
T4: IBT: Redlined Siphai killed. Embargo between America and Babs against us ends. Babs want embargo v zulu, I decline. And... ack. They pop up with a peacetreaty message. Our forces outnumber them. I tell him to shove it. And here comes the WW.. Istanbul riots and I MM to quell unhappiness. Uskudar: Sipahi -> Siphai. I have to knock Lux up to 40!!! just to keep our cities sound. We are running at a 115 deficit with Sci Meth at 15 turns. Perhaps after that we can run a few turns w/o science. 4/5 sip v 3/3 rifle. wins, no damage. 4/4 sip v 2/2 rifle. wins, 1 damage, promoted. 4/4 sip v 4/4 rifle. dies.
After heeding the advice of the Sages, the Penguin makes peace with Hiawatha for 4 of his worker, one POW, Communisim, 280g and 169gpt. The Penguin is pissed because Hiawatha offered more last time, but wont do a better deal. To save our empire, we accept. With this, we knock Lux down to 20 and raise science to 80 with 24gpt left and Sci in 9. the Mil Academy is switched for a police station, due in 1. I change all cities to police stations. A bab slave is taken.
T5: IBT: Zulu want an MPP.. No thanks, shaka. Also, they capture Ibabango.Iznik builds Police, starts Siphai. 3/4 S v 4/4 rifle. Looses, 2 damage.
T6: America and Persia come to Peace. Istanbul: Police -> Siphai. 5/5 s v 3/3 rifle. Wins, redlined. 4/5 S v 3/3 pike. Wins, 1 damage, raizes Lagash. Takes 2 slaves.
T7: Istanbul celebrating. Edrine: Police->Siphai. Bursa: Police->Siphai. Iznik: Siphai->Siphai. Irq building Shakespeare. Next turn the last Police is done and Ill fiddle w/ the slider. 4/5 S v 3/3 Rifle. Retreats. 3/5 S v same rifle. Wins, no damage. 5/5 s v 3/3 rifle. Wins, 2 damage.5/5 S v 3/3 LONGBOW. Wins, no damage. Takes and raizes Khorsabad. 1 slave taken. 5/5 S v 3/3 rifle. Wins, 3 damage. 2/4 S v 3/3 musket. Wins, no damage. Raizes Larsa. Takes no prisoners. I create a couple colonies to increase marketplace related happy faces.
T8: Embargo between Irq and Zulu ends. Lincoln demands horses. I give in, since I dont feel like fighting him right now. Weve got celebration throughout the land. 3/5 S v 3/3 Rifle. retreats, redlined. 4/4 S v 3/3 Rifle. Retreats, redlined.
T9: Dam You Abe!!! Americans declare war on us (least it wont affect WW). Colonies are overran. Redlined Siphai dies. Istanbul: Siphai->Siphai Edrine: S->S Iznik: S->S. 5/5 S v 3/3 Rifle. Redlined. 3/5 S v 3/3 rifle. redlined. 3/5 s v 3/3 rifle. FINALLY wins. 2/4 s v 3/3 spear. Wins, 1 damage, takes 1 slave, raizes Zamua. 5/5 s v 3/3 musket. Wins, but redlined. Due to reverse WW, I can lower lux to 0, giving us 73gpt. I keep sci at 80, with Sci Meth in 4. 4/4 S v 3/3 rifle. Wins, takes Memphis. City goes up in flames due to something in the air around the house of some guy claming to be "The King." His last words as we arrested him were, "Hail to the Chief, Baby." We take him and some lady with huge hair as prisoners.
T10: Redlined S killed by attacking Bab calv. Bursa: S->S. "WLtS" Celebrations stop. 4/4 S v 3/3 Rifle. S wins, 2 damage.

And so my first SG turns back end. We are at war with Babs and Abe. Abe declared. Sci Meth due in 3. On the turn before its due, see how far back you can go with it still due in 1, to gain the GPT.

I also just finished my first gotm, GOTM21. Won with Diplo victory at 1440 with measly score of 4500ish. :cry: Hopefully next time I will do better.
 
I guess we switched to Sci. Meth. before Sanitation? Are you going to use the leader to build ToE? I think we should research Sanitation and build hospitals ASAP.

I have already used the leader. ToE is due next turn. I will take AT and Electronics. Start Hoover, and start researching Sanitation.
 
We need a ROP with Persia to get to Abe. With Abe on the far side of the map, normally I would wait and take him out last. I think we would be better served to use our troops to take out the weak civs.
 
Turn 0 - Press Spacebar. Bab Longbow kills 1 hp elite Sipahi. :( Why was this unguarded. There should have been a rifle protecting it. Move 4 sipahis to attack Baby capital next turn.

Turn 1 - Raze Baby capital and another city. Sign MA with Xerses against Abe. Have to give him Incense, Gems and 100 Gold for that. That would keep Abe busy while I take care of things on this side.

Edit : corrected the AI civ for MA.

Turn 2 - Raze all but one Baby city.

Turn 3 - No more Hammi. SM finishes. Our leader whips people in our capital to a frenzy and starts creating ToE. I turn off research.

Turn 4 - We get AT, Electronics. Start Sanitation. Due in 9 turns without any loss. Try to steal FA from Zulu cheaply. Hoping to fail. Instead we succeed. Oh Well! We declare war.

Raze Ishawandha, Mpondo, Bapedi and XXX(forgot name of the city!)

Turn 5 - Move forces (16 sipahi into Zulu territory).

Turn 6 - Raze Hlobane (Zulu Capital). Raze Umfozi, Tugela and Umtata. Zulu is down to one city. Unfortunately, we have to cross Iro territory to get to it. Will be done in the next two turns.

Turn 6 (contd...) _ Move 4 sipahi into Iro territory in such a way that when they kick us out we will be on the Zulu side. Our 10,000 + change slaves build a rail to the Arab homeland. Do they know what is in store for them. :groucho:

IT: Zulus archer captures 6 slaves. Iro kick us out predictably.

Turn 7 - Kill Zulu archer. Take back slaves. Move Sipahi to last Zulu town.

I will be able to finish my turns tonight. Will post the save then. I will declare war with Arabs this turn itself and should be able to raze at least 2 of their 5 total cities. That war shouldn't last very long either. Our deal with Iro's run out in about 7 turns. Earp should be able to take care of them. :)

Doesn't Abu Bakr lead the Arabs? If you declare war on him, it will break the alliance you signed in turn 1.
 
Oops, Sorry. It was the Xerses of the mighty Persians I signed the MA with. So we are good to go to war with Abu. I will edit the post above to reflect that.
 
I was wondering why you would sign a MA with the Arabs and kind of suspected that you meant Xerxes instead of Abu.

I guess we'll eliminate the Arabs, finish off the Iroquois, and then take out Persia and America.

I think Snaproll and Tsuk are up before me. I fear that poor helpless Hiawatha will be relegated to the pages of history before I get to play again.

Of course. My bad :blush:. It is upto Emperor Snap to take care of the purple Iros and Abu the beard. :)
 
Turn 8 contd... - Declare war on the Arabs. Raze Mosul. Move forces to Mecca.

Turn 9 - Mecca Razed. We lose two Sipahi though. One of them Elite :( I was forced to attack across a river because I did not want to wait another turn to attack. Baghdad Razed. It had the colosus. The one remaining Arab city also razed. See pic below.

Notice the red circle. Suleyman the great appeared. He was sent back home to complete a great wonder called Hoover Dam [party]

Turn 10 - We complete Shakespeare's Theater. We complete Hoover's. All workers are sent back to rest after their years of railroading.

10 turns saw the end of 3 civs. That was a personal record for me. :)

The Iro deal lasts another 4 turns. After that we should finish them off. Then sign a RoP with Xerxes and finish off the bearded Abe. Last to go should be Xerxes. I think we will finish off everybody with Sipahis. No one except us has SM. And with all the war going on I do not see RP coming in soon.
