The Third Giuseppe
This is a thread for requests for leaders/civs. Also anyhting about the current civs rebalancing, and anything . If you want a leader/civ then please post a link to where they are
Division of the strangely generalized Celts
The Celtic civilization has always bugged me that it is so general. While working on the Standard Earth map it become annoyingly clear to me that it needs to be separated for it to work properly at all.
Civilizations
C2C focuses on the new culture wonders (which I love!) but I would prefer that we could have as many civs/leaderheads as possible. Going with the theme of C2C though, there should be at least 3 separate civs (input if you think of any good leaderheads):
Scottish
Irish
Gaulish
Culture Wonders
Scottish
UU - Highland Pikeman
Wonders - Edinburgh Castle...any other ideas
European, Cow?
Irish
UU - Javelin thrower of some kind?
Wonders - Blarney Stone...any other ideas
European, sheep?
Brythonic
UU - chariot of some kind?
Wonders - Stonehenge...any other ideas
European, Stone?
Gauls
Halstatt
Any others?

We already have some of these already or in the works ...
Scottish [European]
Unit: Highlander
Req Tech: Folk Music
Req Resource: Seals (We were running out of resources to choose from)
Req Terrain: Hills
Irish [European]
Unit: (Not Picked Yet)
Req Tech: (Not Picked Yet)
Req Resource: Potatoes
Req Terrain: (Not Picked Yet)
Sounds awesome! Yeah the seals thing seems crazy but lack of resources does pose a problem. Does a European civ already have cow?
Edit: Also, potatoes as a requirement for Irish culture is problematic, as the Irish culture existed for centuries before potatoes were introduced to Ireland. Cattle are a more central part of their mythos, featuring prominently in the Ulster Cycle, where the Cattle Raid Of Cooley is the central story of the Ulster Cycle. For Scotland, Sheep would probably work better than Seals
Originally I think Spanish had Cow (for the Running of the Bull), but once Minoan was added Spain was changed to Gold and Minoan got Cow (for the Bull Leaping).
Ah that make's sense. Is Minoan European? I can't remember. I was just thinking cow for Scotland because of highland cattle.
Yeah that makes total sense. Would it be beneficial to add a Mediterranean culture group?
Its hard to say, its in the Mediterranean so it could be European, African or Middle Eastern. Since it seemed closer to Greek, I made it European. Note if Europe gets too crowded with cultures I may move it to Middle Eastern since that region doesn't have many cultures.
