I noticed a lot of the Trans-Human techs have the same audio quote. Could you chnage the audio quote to nothing instead of the same one?

Where do I change this :confused:? What setting should I change it to?
 
I deleted my Cache at:
\Users\Main\AppData\Local\My Games\Beyond The Sword\cache

I then deleted the folders Sources and User Settings.
I then SVN to the latest Update (6144).

It started really slow,(creating a cache I guess), but loaded to Main Menu perfectly .

Then I started my save from 1592. It loaded great.
 
Rather, when looking at the withdrawal of birds, I realized that most birds would take off immediately from a fight and that with their flight, we should not allow land-bound units to 'pursue'. So why are they so easily taken out? And if trying to represent things that accurately, would we not make birds next to invincible and have tons of birds flocking around all over the continent? So I realized that really, most bird hunters, like blowgunners, archers, cats, etc... take these small creatures down in one hit. So the model of having numerous rounds of combat against these creatures was completely flawed. The only way to really affect this would be to reduce their MaxHP.

Wow! Animal Hunting will be like its own mini-game within C2C with all the types of strategies in killing an animal.

That way its just the generic sound rather than a specific audio quote. Cause after the 30th time hearing the same old quote it gets annoying.

It would also be helpful if you could track down duplicate quotes or even audio that doesn't match the text. That way its easier to find out what audio needs to be done if they are all set to "generic".

I need this fixed PLEASE, i even went back 2 autosaves and deleted the cache, and it still CTD's.

It loads fine to me, there is nothing for him to fix.

1.Delete your Cache (X:\Users\Main\AppData\Local\My Games\Beyond The Sword\cache)

2.Delete your User Settings Folder and Sources Folder.

3.Run the SVN Update.

After doing that, it loads fine and I even played from my old save.

I would also Defragment your computer once in a while.

Why would it have a sockwave engine? Its using solar winds for propulsion. Its like saying sailboats need an motor. Please remove that as a tech requirement.

I'll remove it, I thought the Populsion was Fusion or a Plasma reaction.

Don't worry... I'll look into it now. I'm home from shopping finally. It'll probably be an easy fix if it involves anything I just changed I'm thinking.

As far as I can tell from wikipedia the solar radiation (aka solar wind) pushes on everything in the solar system. Since there is little to no friction, having solar sails can take advantage of this push.

If anything perhaps it should be moved back on the tree since as the video tells us there have already been solar sails in space. I will post details in the tech thread.
 
A true solar sail interplanetary vessel is based on a concept that a VERY high powered laser focusing the rays of the sun from a fixed point can be held on the ship as its target, pushing it gradually to nearly the speed of light as there's little resistance to offer the ship in the depths of space. The ship would be shaped much like a dish to collect the photon thrust being sent it. That's what I read somewhere on proposals for interplanetary ship designs anyhow... can't recall exactly where that was but it was some kind of NASA report or media document on future space project proposals.

Update
Fixed SO's crash bug reported after my update today. I forgot to consider it would be possible for units to have no primary combat class. I'd goofed and allowed a null reference pass in such a case. Almost all units in C2C do have a primary combat class so many games wouldn't have been affected thus testing let it slip through.

Anyhow, easy fix and committed to the SVN now.

Guess we'll see if the code archive allows my commit there now...
