C2C SVN Changelog

Yes, I have not balanced it for C2C so the strength is probably a bit low.

This replaces the partisan event because it happens every time a city is captured. So I need to remove the partisan event.

Partisans can't be built. The number you get depends on the losers tech, civics and city size. The promotions they get depend on techs and terrain. The terrain ones need to be adjusted for C2C.

Currently the noification circles are pink. This is because the unit is modular. It can be fixed by merging it into the core files, but I wanted to give people a chance to play with it.

Almost anything is possible,;) Having only just now managed to play a game to the industrial era, I am not sure what units come latter.

EDIT:

thx for fixing the partisans, i wonder if there is anyway "we" could get this all the way down to include the Prehistoric Era, but of course using different units everytime a city has been razed?

- Tweaked City Guarding Units to all use Riot Control I.
- Removed Riot Control II, III, IV and V.
- Added Wetland Combat I, II and II.
- Added Rugged Combat I, II, III.
- Added New Buttons for Arctic Combat 0 and Arctic Combat III.
- Added New Buttons for Desert Combat 0 and Desert Combat III.
- Removed Mars Benefits from Fieldsmen I, II and II.

On the removal of promotions, did you do a complete change to each and every promotion you deleted to each and every XML file??

Riot Control was a new promotion I added awhile back. They only effected the Town Watchman, Guard, City Guard, Sheriff and Police Squad. They were getting way too much of a benefit with each adding up. So I gave them all just Riot Control I. Note the Riot Control promotion was a special promotion that could not be gained but only given free to units.

In short I only needed to effect the unit and promotion files for them.

Barren, Salt Flat, Lush terrains don't slow movement and promotions double movement in those terrains?
 
Just added the bits to the Partisan mod to capture siege and armoured units. Unfortunately I can't check the changes as my game has gone as far as it can on my machine. At least I saw the early balloon units in action.

Please test it, there may be some silly mistakes in it.

I'll spend a few more days on memory reduction sometime after I get home next week
 
Updates
  • Updated several more map scripts to place the new terrains (name starting with C2C)
  • C2C map scripts place sea lion, walrus and goody islands
  • Public maps are no longer shown in the C2C map script selection (failure chance is high, place maps into the C2C private maps folder if you want to try other scripts anyway)
