please help, every time i make an account in sourceforge i cant get the confermation message they say i should get, has anyone encontered this problem!!!!

You should get an e-mail from them and all you need to do is respond back to the address it has.
They are very correct, BUT if you plan on helping OUT modding with the GREAT Team from C2C, then this is a good idea, otherwise, you really dont need an account unless your just curious about stuff, like i was way back when.
And the only way "we" give access to our accounts is like Koshling said, you HAVE to be a C2C modder and go through the training process first.
One other thing, this should have been in a different thread, not the SVN thread

when there done they realese a new version, basically right now its ver 24 "beta"

Yes, but remember the "final" versions have been tested and are stable**. The SVN versions are dynamic and may "break" something that worked previously, and you have to keep up with the topics to make sure that the copy you are using has been "fixed". That's why I keep several versions of the SVN on my HDD (back-ups that are zipped plus my working copy plus the one that gets updated daily by me), as well as v23* (and 24 when it is released).
*the only reason I still have 23 is because it is on a DVD-r, and can't be erased
**though they are basically the same as the SVN that came before it

The SVN does allow to return to a previous SVN version if something breaks (takes some time to download the respective older versions of files though).
