We already have an Electronics store at Electronics tech.

@MrAzure

I have some questions about your resources. Specifically ...

- Microgenerators
- Nanogenerators
- Nanoacuuators

1. Could you describe them and what they were made for?

2. How to they relate too ...

- Nanobots
- Replicators

3. So the Nanite Lab requires only Nanotubes for its resource requirements which seem very wrong. Do you think they should be requiring some of your new resources like Nanogenerators
and Nanoacuuators?

4. The Nano Factory seems a bit wrong to me. Seems like your assembler plants are falling into this category. The Nano Factory should probby be making the Nanobots and then the Nanite Lab becomes a requirement for the Nano Factory.

5. Also do you think the Replicator Plant is too early at Rapid Prototyping tech? If so where should it be moved to so not to mess too much up?

Well the path goes like this:

() means computing power
Semiconductors/Transistors
Microprocessor (4-bit, 8-bit, 16-bit)
Multi-core Processor (32-bit, 64 bit)
Microgenerator (128bit, 256 bit)
Nanogenerator (512 bit, 1096 bit)
Nanobots (4384 bit, 8768 bit)
Replicators (16 nanobot cell, 128 nanobot cell, 256 nanobot cell)
Cybernetic Chloroplasts ( the botanical version of Replicators)
Nanite (1600 replicators, 6400 replicators, 12800 replicators)
There are more in Galactic Era.

Nanoactulator
A nanoactulator is a nanoscale sized artificial microtubule/muscle cell made of artificial polymers and naotubes.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microtubule
Microgenerator
Microgenerators are micrometer size fuel cells/ microturbines that produce electrical power. They can power microelectronics like cyber insects. Its basically a micrometer power source.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micropower

Nanogenerators
Nanogenerators are nanometer-scale generators/nanoturbine made of Piezoelectric nanofibers. In the human body they are powered by flowing blood or a beating heart, or by kinetic energy (moving around). They are the power source of nanoelectronics, and later nanobots.

Nanobots
Robots whose components are at or close to the scale of a nanometer. This means Nanorobots are around 100-500 nanometers in size. Cannot self-produce, only manufactured. An artificial prokaryotic cell (like a virus cell).

Replicators
They are silicon life, (100% of life now is Carbon), its organs are made of nanobots, and powered and composed of neurons. With the proper energy and material requirements, it can self produce. An artificial eukaryotic cell (like a human cell or bacteria[100x bigger than a virus]). It has no consciousness.

They are also known as synthoids.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synthoid

Cybernetic Chloroplasts
They are also made of silicon life and similar to Replicators , but are powered by stellar radiation, and are just an artificial plant cell.

Nanite
Millimeter scale replicators with a nucleus that has a supercomputer, cybernetic cells, and with the proper energy and material requirements, it can self produce. A nanite has the computing power of several thousand replicators. It has consciousness and can make decisions.
------

Move Replicators to Neuron Engineering , they made of silicon life research from Hypothetical Biochemistry, and are powered by neurons/nanobots.

Move Nanite Factory to Smart Dust.

-Cellulase Capsules (Some bacteria living in the gut of cattle, horses and other herbivores secrete cellulase, an enzyme that helps in the digestion of the cellulose contents of plant cell walls. Cellulose is the major source of energy for these animals. Generally plant cells contain cellulose. The bacteria present in the stomach of cattle will help in the digestion of cellulose. This engineered bacteria secreates cellulase, and is sold in capsules. Humans who consume these capsules are now able to eat grass, tree leaves, and bark, and whatever mammalian herbivores eat. The effect lasts for a day or two. This helps with world hunger.)

Its funny you mention cellulase. In my Sagan 4 project we had a flora called the Cellulosebane Crystal. It produced cellulase in the soil to prevent cellulose based flora from growing but also in its spores to harm other celluslose based flora in the area. It was unharmed since its outer crystal-like bark is made of chitin (like the exoskeletons of insects) and soft insides like fungi.

However we also had a cellulose based flora called Chitinbane (which produced Chitinase). It not only hurt the Crystal Flora but also our insect-like fauna. Note we also had fauna that were made of cellulose called "plents" which were greatly harmed by cellulase producing flora.

You do know that Chloroplasts are not plant cells, don't you? Instead they are compartiments, similar like an organ for cells. Naming them "cells" is equal to name a heart or a kidney "human".

Compliment on the amount of buildings you propose! I 'm already scared of write the XML for those :P

I am going to checkout your Sagan4 project right now.

Whenever we get to the rare alien flora and fauna resources. I want to represent Sagan 4. Possibly as a natural wonder but for the Galaxy map. As with the others planned it will be a more condensed less detailed version of the various exobiology projects. Probbly as simple as ...

- Natural Wonder (Sagan 4)
- Sagan 4 Microbes [Resource]
- Sagan 4 Fauna [Resource]
- Sagan 4 Flora [Resource]

And then maybe some bonuses to the Astrology Lab and stuff.

Yes I do, they are organelles.

Well if StrategyOnly does apply a 1-3 buildings per Tech, we are going to have to make our own modmod/expansion pack that expands Modern-Galactic . Hydro will still review, and have manager role. I will help with buildings, and we will have our own SVN. It would be layered on top of Caveman2Cosmos.

Do you have any good names?

I don't think we have to go that far. I can make a new folder with additional buildings and switch it off per default. I THINK these buildings do not make gameplay slower (if they are not loaded), is this true?

So long as they are not loaded at a modular level, then they have no impact if not enabled.

Great! Would it be possible to put all TH and later buildings in a seperate folder and add a Bug option to load this folder at the next loading of the mod (like it worked with viewports)? This would enable faster gameplay in earlier eras, wouldn't it?

Marginally. I encourage you to do the experiment and see how much difference it makes (to both memory footprint and speed). I don't think it will be dramatic however.

Probably not. Too many are linked to other buildings that keeping track of that and working around it would be nearly impossible. For Atl-Timelines its one thing but for an entire era its way more work than the benefit. We just have too many things interconnected for that. Its not worth the effort and I have long since given up modulariblity for buildings long ago.

The sounds wonderful. Well in late Transhuman there are the Nutraceutical Animals and Botanical Alchemy TECHS which represent designed animals and designed plants. You can put some Sagan 4 stuff in those techs if you want. When I get to that Tech I am going to leave the name of this designed animals and botanical as ???? when doing stats. Basically, this designed fuana and botanicals have special properties that make them more powerful than the fruits and fauna we have today. One of them is Ambrosia Apples, when eaten, the person gets a rush of good emotions, and fell godly.

MOVE Animation to X70, Y11 (Requires Television AND Computers)

Animation came long before TV and computers. Some early animated films did not even have sound.

-Personal Music Player (requires Radioplex and Diskette Manufacturer) [Combines Handheld Radios, Boombox, Walkman,)

You realize the Radioplex is a Diselpunk building right?

Agreed. More like animation buildings (we have an animation studio or something I presume?) should get a gold bonus with the TV and computer techs, but be enabled earlier (photography + mass media?)
