C2C - UEM - Ultimate-Earth-Map 100% MOD and SVN update compatible by Pit2015

No, turning off "graphical paging" in "bug" dont helps, but increasing the viewport size to 200x200 still saves alot of RAM, 100x100 should be enouth on first 20.000 turns then jumping to combat works :goodjob:, but could use some coding to make it jump on smaller viewport size also better. So no more memory MAF problems mostly. :king::goodjob: :woohoo:
Glad I could help you out "swamp rat"! :P ;)

Yeah swampfox , dont forget to use also my improved steam RAM saving settings and other settings, but i bet you still use win 7 or 8, so you will need a bit more RAM, win 10 works better with RAM. Added a detailed "RAM usage" instruction to first posting. Also adapted viewport to the full map without space part. Using viewport on other maps will improve the performance also. Will test some more stuff to increase RAM conserving more. Btw i am a forrest not a swampi like you. :crazyeye: Meens i life in a forrest not in a swamp like you. :king: Time for you to start a long game on UEM with standard settings on deity+eternity (SVN 11238), letz see how you do. :)

@raxo2222 Your settings unfortunately dont do anything to save RAM as my tests look like, but i am sure there will be more possible.

I'll look into it.

Ok! :)

Been using win 10 for sometime now. I do Not use Steam to play C2C. Never will. I have a modest i7 6700 comp with 8GB of DDR5 video ram and 16GB DDR4 ram. I bought the comp for $190, the vid card for $90, and 8GB of DDR4 for $35. So $315 is what I've put in the rig so far.. I don't need more than what I've got now.

Now if I lived down south I might live in a swamp. But since I'm in W.IL. farm country I live in corn and soybean fields. About 35 miles east of the Mississippi river and the Iowa/Missouri borders. Lots of deer in these parts.

@JosEPh_II
Go to the first post here.
He mentions a modmod, yes, but I don't use it (I use C2C SVN, which updates too often for me to use any modmods).
Next time, ASK directly before ACCUSING someone of something you have to way to KNOW for sure, please.

No one is accusing. It is you that does not understand. IF you use Pit's Map ie his scenario you are using His Changes to C2C No matter What SVN you use.
Stop being so sensitive and easily insulted. You take offense where none was given.

In this case only scenario file itself is present - similar thing like scenarios included with mod.

There is actually xml changing modmod recommended for atypical scenarios like spacemaps - one removes latitude/longitude requirements, and other scales latitude requirements to fit scaled size of Earth part.

PRECISELY what I keep saying.
*SHRUG*

If you dont use the latitude/longitude modmod you get wrong spawns on map because space is included on the map, expanding the map alot to the north.
Yeah, had seen that.
Not really CARE, though.
And the difference isn't game-breaking, if anything.
Losing a few buildings and animals due to misplacement isn't THAT bad.
And it's very unlikely that I'll reach anything Space related in ANY of my games, lol.
Anyways, this modmod is very minor and doesn't have a BIG influence on the gameplay - so in either case I wouldn't call it "modifying C2C" to any significant degree.

If this map's size is bigger than anything the mod creates on its own, the map itself could also be considered a modmod.

Game could create maps up to 24k tiles before I unified sizes by C2C_World map script standard.

So I guess "technically mod mod" is true for it now.

A few questions:

1) Is this map/mod compatible with the latest 14.2 release? I assume so, but I'd like to verify...

3. If you use UEM 4.5 or higher download and install the latitude mod mod for maps that include space here: "SVN Rescaled Latitude Limits.rar"
At some point will this (frankly necessary) feature be incorporated into the mod itself? It looks like the UEM is just a worldbuilder save, not a scenario, but I'm wondering whether it's possible to use the Rescaled Latitude for only this map without it affecting the rest of the C2C mod, such as if I decide to use a map that doesn't include space.

Thanks for your help, and your work on this!

Yes UEM is compatible with latest version. UEM is a scenario, preset civs and preset options that you should use, and start it as "Scenario" in civ, install as told on first posting here. "SVN Rescaled Latitude Limits.rar" You need to overwrite the mod files with that so will not be included in the map/scenario file. Best is to game on SVN 11238 now i think, rest is to bugged now and AI is not working, if you use SVN you can overwrite easy the modfiles again with originals if needed, otherwise you just overwrite them again with your 41.2 if needed or make a backup.

"At some point will this (frankly necessary) feature be incorporated into the mod itself?" Dont know if that is possible, maybe if the mod can track the size of maps. Or if the map can be given a special variable maybe.

@Toffer90 @raxo2222 Like "Is space map" = 1 = rescaling spawns.

Hello! I think I have discovered a bug and I want to share it with you though I am not sure whether the stable 41.2 build or this map causes it. When you set viewports in the BUG options like you instructed to optimise the RAM usage, it causes a weird "map displacement-cropping" glitch after you open and then close a military advisor screen. After that happened you cannot see anything, cannot interact with anything (though the game tells that your stuff is still there somewhere) and cannot skip turn. Also I found out that it can be fixed only if you save and load the game. It only happens when you have "Viewports" options turned on so it is easy to test this bug out and see it for yourself. I encountered this bug on the latest version of your map, C2C 41.2 stable release with latitude mod-mod and I refreshed the cache files before starting a game.

It's a viewports bug I believe. Something we'll need to tackle before full Multimap implementation and likely even related to it.

Yes, i already reported that, this bug is happening when you click the military advisor button, @Toffer90 has to fix that in the UI code because in military advisor a new minimap is loaded, that kills viewport somehow, so currently never click military advisor button in menu, also you can set the viewport to the full map without space as told on first page, then you will see all combat with no problems.

"Set "Viewport" horizontal size to 232 and set "Viewport" vertical size to 112, thats the exact earth size without space."

Yeah, I've intended to rework the military advisor screen for some time now, the viewport issue is a known issue too.

I'll make sure it's the next thing I do for C2C.

What do you think? Do they have enouth evidence now to release there is alien life visiting earth or any other force is behind this and they try to prepare the public to release it? Is fox news trustworthy enouth in the US to say the pentagon offical confirming that it is from navy records? Curious what will happen next in these historic earth days...

Why UFO is trolling Americans and not anyone else?
Is tormenting most powerful country on planet their national sport?
