Well i don't know either if the American version has the language option, since it is in English. You see my first C3C European version cd has broken!!!Incredible-the first cd that has broken in the past 15 years since i started buying CD's-So i don't want to pay another 30 Euros, only in America i can find it in a resonable price, but they will have to send it to me,so i must be sure before ordering it.

Edit:By the way which patch (1.22) sould i install? The one that i have installed in my old English version or another one?

I understand, which is why I would wait for confirmation. However, I had a language option when I installed. From what I recall reading in the forums, C3C isn't country specific, as past versions of Civ3 were. So I think you're okay.

Silly question, I know, but have you attempted to get a replacement disc from Atari?

Thanks Turner 727.

No i thought of sending them my cd but then again i believe that the they would do nothing.

I don't know if this is a dumb question but if anyone can answer it I'd appreciate it. I don't have Conquest, and I have built up a really big scenario/mod I like to play (PTW). If I were to get Conquest, would I be able to play my scenario with Conquest and its new rules/units, etc? Or would I have to start over and build from scratch?
Thanks

It depends on how extensively you modded it.

When people tried to load the Double Your Pleasure mod in C3C, it wouldn't work. A lot of modding the mod had to be done to get it to work in C3C. Other went just fine. I don't recall what the issues were, but you could look through the Creation and Customization - Completed Modpacks forum for 'DyP for C3C' and the latter, oh, 5 - 10% of the DyP thread. There was some discussion there towards the end on how to mod it and why it wouldn't work.

I was wondering if there was a way in which all the roads/mines/irrigation etc could be removed in one move from an imported map. When i import a world map onto the C3C map editor, it still contains all the roads etc, is there a way to remove this so you have a blank terrain with only the resources left?

Thanks you.

You may get more response from posting that in the creation and customisation forum Smidgey. :)

Here's something for the "You Learn Something New Every Day" file (at least for me):

Having the "Caps Lock" on affects the movements of all units in the game. They literally dart about as if they were a stack of units on rails. No animation.
This became headache inducing and nothing in "Preferences" seemed to fix it. That's when I looked down on my keyboard and noticed the caps were locked. Go figure!

I just tried that it is really strange, but it would give me a headache trying to keep up with everything.

Does anyone have any advice for playing the Japanese scenario in Conquest. I currently have different civs at war with me. I can't seem to be able to produce enough warriors or get enough breathing space to build up a treasurery. In other words I don't think I am doing anything correctly.

Tank vs spearman thing was never addressed. It is inherent to the combat model that it will happen.

Japanese conquest: Some civs are easier to play than others. Just keep trying till you get the hang of it. There are some threads on it. Try looking for them.

My history replay at the end of the game does not work. I press "play" and nothing happens. Any ideas of what could be the cause of that?
