I'm talking about a mod where you allow it to be targetted. I've seen a unit that has no conventional attack/ defense stealth-attacked before, and the result there was unexpected, so I really need a definite answer, rather than a "probably"...

Check in the creation and mod forum

Why, is there a thread about it already? (Or: I would have made a thread about it, but if I can be bothered to do that I'll just load up a test mod in the first place)

I like to adjust the game to last 1000 turns, so I set it in the "game limits" menu.

The problem is that when I click on "Quick Start" to begin a game - theorically in the exact same parameters as the previous one - I see the game is set again to have only 540 turns.

Is it a bug and is there any way to fix this?

manually setting up the game ;)
quick start starts with some factor I forget, but you usually start as the same person with the same rules, or as the Romans with default rules

I generally have to "quick start" a new game for 20 or 30 times before really playing it because I play on Emperor-Deity and I only keep playing if I have cattle in my start location.

Therefore it's a little boring to adjust the game to have 1000 turns everytime I'm going to start a new game.

Maybe there is a way to edit any .txt file for the game to admit 1000 turns as it standard rule? Or maybe changing something in the editor?

Thanks.

Another question: I see that there are not too many german city names in the game. The AI then starts to create cities named like "New Berlin", "New Frankfurt" etc., although some known names of german cities (like Dresden) were not used yet. How can I fix this?

Or just rename them when ever you build a new city.

I was talking about the AI opponent having german cities names like "New Berlin" and "New Frankfurt". I didn't mean the cities I build.

Thanks for the help.

1) Fortifications. These add 50% defense bonus to any unit occupying the tile.

2) Barricades. I think these stop all units from crossing the tile (i.e. your unit tries to cross but ends the turn on the tile. Next turn it can move out as normal).

Don't quote me on that, it's just from memory...
