Thanx lbhhh ! It is clear to me now.

And what about this one:

3. Multiplayer: I have the military alliance that lasted 20 turns but I want to cancel it and make a piece with my enemy. But when I bring down the trade screen->active and select the "alliance vs..." to remove it from the active treaties I suddenly get to war with my partner civilization. In single it works, is it a bug in multi ?

I saved the game hoping to find out how to deal with the situation, but if this is really a bug then I'll be unable to continue... Why I can't cancel the alliance in multi just the same way I'm doing it in single?

This might work:
Turn on the always renegotiate deals option in the preferences screen.

When the 20 turns are up, the AI will come to you to renew the deal.

Just say no, the deal will be cancelled without causing a war

Its worth a try, good luck.

I am working on a mod and am trying to merge the Rules from the mesopotamia conquest with those of Rise of Rome, so I can choose what combination works best. Is there an easy way to do that? I want to include the tech trees in this merge.

What files (eg pediaicions.txt) would have to be merged or could there be two lookups in the same folder?

hi, this is way to big to read through! And not eactly the info I'm looking for.

I haven;t played Civ3 since mid 2002, so do not have any of the expansion packs. What I want to know is do they add alot to the game?

I don't mean the features listed in the Civ3 site, like new techs, civs etc. I've read about those. What I mean is, does it improve the games in other ways?

Is it still Civ3 with more options? I read a bit about UU's having new powers and so on. how does this affect the game?

Thanks!

New Civs, New traits, new worker actions, new units, new unique units, new govs, new AI, new wonders, new improvements, multiplayer - hotseat, PBEM (play by email), lanplay. . .

Yes, it's worth it. There can be some hassles, which are being addressed in the upcoming patch, but it's definately worth it.

Conquests is civ3 with more options. BUT so many new options and features that if feels like a new game. And lets not forget the 9 awesome conquests that come with it. They're great.:goodjob: Conquests is definitively a good buy.

IIRC it also protects against bombard attacks...

Do the recently released patches: 1.15, etc. disable the Hall of Fame register? Mine doesn't seem to be working.

Not sure if they do or not, but if you load a scenario (I think the 'Conquests' are expemt from this) then your score does not get recorded in the HoF. Could this be the reason?

Yeah Turner is right I think.

Nah, I'm playing regular old 'epic' random map games. Maybe I'll just uninstall conquests and then reinstall and add the 1.15 patch.

What is the hot key combo to clear/put back all screen buttons and maps? Thanks.

Birdjaguar,

The hot key to put back the screen buttons and mini-map is the delete key (same one to hide them)

Thanks!

It says in the civilopedia that agricultural civs are suppose to gain a food in any new base city, however i have found this not to be the case. Only the cities that i build on rivers recieve the food bonus. Also when i changed out of despotism, all of my cities recieved the bonus. Is this how it is suppose to work or is there more i should know?

This is exactly as it is supposed to work. If every city got the foodbonus in despotism (which normally gives tile penalties), then the agricultural trait would be too strong. It's already considered the best trait by most of the players here.
