Aha Mr. Ale!!!!! In AK9, I just killed a king inside Heidelburg so not all the kings are hidden in the capital!!!
However, Ginger Ale is more right than I am pretty much all the time so listen to him.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but after reading up on a lot of mod stuff around here, it sounds like Conquests does NOT indeed include all the content from PTW... I was about to buy PTW when I found out Conquests would include it so I waited... Is this true? If so, what am I missing?

It includes all of the gameplay - the civs, the units, the wonders, etc. All things made by Firaxis. The only things it doesn't include are scenarios/mods all available here (probably newer editions too, and better since they are for C3C) and some WWII and Feudal Japan units, both sets available in the Unit Graphics forum. The people in the Creation and Customization forum would be glad to point you to those links! :)

Ok, then I'm not so far off, it was all those links that I already found that lead me to believe I was missing them! :)

A question regarding the GL. Do you have to have it in your possession at the end of your turn, beginning of your turn, or just any amount of time to receive the free techs (when capturing it)? I was wondering because I will not be able to resist a counterattack after taking it and I was wondering if I could gift it to some other civ and still get the free techs. It probably wouldn't flip if someone else had it and my units could get a free ride home! I imagine I have to keep it at the end of my turn though. Can someone confirm this for me?

I know I posted this in a different thread, but it was a bit off topic there and no one had responded yet... Sorry.

I have never captured TGL from another civ, but from what I remember of when I have built it, the free techs come at the end of the turn you get it, so that may also be true for capturing it.

Yes, if you capture a wonder, it will can still become a tourist attraction, but no culture.

So thats maybe a good spot to put my hidden palace. I was thinking of putting it on a island but I am conquering allot of enemy cities.. hmm.

Oh wait. Is tourism income effected by corruption?

Choice of city for FP should also consider rivers and resources. You may have a better potential city elsewhere. Tourism is subject to corruption... at least it was in the mod i just played. No reason to believe it is different in the epic game.

Well there is a number of gold resources next to a volcano near the city with the wonder. Need to plant a city to claim it though. Fresh water lake too. What does the volcano do, just cause pollution? Ever destroy cities or even just improvements? How close do I dare build my cities?

Also , is there a way to attack a single unit without moving onto its square once defeated? How do you tell how much movement you have left when its in thirds? (you know, because of roads)

Oh, can armies created by military acacamy be used to rush small wonders like the FP? How much do military leaders give to SW rushes?

If a volcano erupts, EVERYTHING within two tiles is at risk. When it erupts, it releases pollution onto the landscape, and it will destroy cities that happen to be on the particular square that the volcano chooses to erupt onto. So a FP city beside a volcano would be at risk. I think it can destroy improvements(not certain about this one). Also, it will destroy units in its path.

I had some other questions as well, please go back and answer. And I'd be planting a city that wouldn't have a FP to claim the gold. It would just be close to the city with the FP.(and the GW)

When you say within two tiles.. two diagonal tiles? Or the same shape as those of cities radius with just 1 tile for diagonal?

A two tile perimeter. So two tiles in any direction. Altough IIRC, things that are only one tile away are more at risk.

Armies cannot rush SW. Only MGLs can.

If you attack a unit and win, you have to occupy its square. There is no way I know of determining how many moves you have left on roads except to count.

You are limited by the number of armies you can get, I believe its 1 per 4 cities, do military leaders count against this limit? Does the existence of armies make future armies more unlikely even if your not at your max army limit?

Sometimes even counting doesn't tell me how many mp left I have. BTW, do roads on hills & mountains outside of your territory/in enemy territory not work for you? Thats what I've seem to have been finding. Moving in or out of enemy territory takes one move too right? That sure is allot of movement penalties.

You cannot use the roads outside of your civ unless you have an RoP with that particular AI. If a road is in nuetral land, then everyone can use it as if it were in their territory.

Technically, having an army can actually increase your odds of getting another MGL(to make an army) As once you win a battle, you can build Heroic Epic, increasing odds of MGL from 16:1 to 12:1. MGL wouldn't count against the number of armies you have, as they aren't armies, and they have other uses, besides make armies(like rush SW). Also, if you have a Great Leader of any kind, then you can't get another MGL until you use it.
