Ok, whenever I start a new game, everything goes fine until I build my first city. For some reason two different things could happen: 1. I build the city and it says I lost a conquests defeat
or 2: i build the city its fine but then when my turn ends every other civ is immediately destroyed or (rarely) everything goes smoothly until i lose a unit, any unit. This happened before and I was in a war, i lost an archer and it said "We are disgraced! blah blah blah....basically i lost a conquests defeat just from losing an archer

EDIT: No, eliminate mode is NOT on.
