C3C PBEM : CeD - Rise of Rome scenario-based PBEM

On the hills outside Sardis, a major battle to report: Macedonia had 3 Fire Catapults, 22 Heavy Cavalry, and 5 Hoplites fortified. Persia attacked with everything they had in the region. The result:
21 Greek HC killed, 1 Retreated to Sardis
5 Hoplites killed
3 Fire Catapults captured.

10 Persian Heavy Cavalry killed, and many more red-lined.

Arghhh ! That's my fault. My best generals had been sent to the West, only leaving incompetent b****** in the East. Great opportunity for a cunning adversary (that's a compliment).

My poor and limited revenge was only to kill 4 Numidian Mercenary (losing one ancient cavalry in the process near Heliopolis).

BTW for the possible lurkers, Scythians have changed sides once again !!!

Battle Report:
1 Hoplite killed East of Sardis. Lost 1 Cav. A big invasion force takes its place in the hills above Sardis.
Killed 4 Hoplites and 2 Cavs in and around Heliopolis, captured the city with 2 Cavs lost.

lol

New turn started.

Battle reports sent to opponents.

Sardis is about to fall to evil and cruel Persians while Carthage is making Southern Italy a human desert.

Battle Report:
Sardis: City captured. 2 Hoplites, 2 Cavs killed. 3 Fire Cats and 1 worker captured. Lost 2 Cavs.
Miletena: captured (Undefended?) along with the Great Lighthouse.
Antadrus: Captured, killed one wounded Cav.

It seems the cowardly Macedonians have cut their losses in Africa. The two cities they treacherously captured from the Carthaginians have been abandoned, and no sickly green-clad troops can be seen right now.

I am so stupid. I should have abandonned Saris. Then you would not have had Miletena.... Bring back my good generals from the West !

Cleaned up a bunch of ugly green troops this turn near Sardis: Killed 6 Hoplites and 1 Heavy Cav. Lost 2 Heavy Cav.

The Greeks get their heinies kicked out of Asia!
Cyzicus Captured along with 3 nearby Fire Catapults. 3 Hoplites killed, 3 wounded Heavy Cavs killed. Persians lose 2 Heavy Cavs.

Byzantium, the gateway to Europe, is all that is standing before the "Purple Menace!"

For once all that the evil Persian wrongdoers say is true. We call on all the forces of the West (including Gondor and Rohan) to help us keep the bridge at Osgiliath (sorry, at Byzantium !).

Battle Report.
The Greeks made a surprise landing near Miletus. Fortunately for us (unfortunately for them), Miletus was a regrouping and healing point for quite a few valiant Persian troops that had kicked them out of Asia. They had to cut their R&R short, and were pretty pissed!
Killed 2 Greek Hoplites, and 5 Greek Heavy Cavs, while losing 2 Heavy Cavs. Also killed a wounded Greek Cav on the road to Byzantium.
The pathetic Persian Navy tried to show their mettle, but with pretty poor results. They sank 3 Greek Galleys, but lost 5 Galleys while doing so!

Battle Report.
Killed off the remnants of the Greek invaders near Miletus. 3 Hoplites and 1 Cav killed. 1 Persian Cav lost. The hordes of Asia are camped outside Byzantium's gates.
