C3C PBEM : "Cortez" - Age of Discovery scenario-based PBEM

Random Fan just reminded me that this 'war out of nowhere' appears to happen in this scenario as we both remember seeing a thread about it earlier, where no one had started a war in the first place. So if the scenario has built-in war triggering between nations then we can respect that or ignore it. Personally I find it annoying since I want to play the game on my own and not have unexpected wars triggered for no reason. If it's meant to be historically accurate then a whole bunch of other things should be changed too and there goes the whole point of freedom in the game - so no thanks :)

Have you heard any response from Loulong? Maybe he declared war on you? (I asked him earlier, and he did not respond to me, I thought maybe you attacked him.) 1524 AD played and sent. At least we have one less war in the New World, as we have successfully concluded our negotiations with the Aztecs. ;)

I was away and tried to play/send my turn ASAO yesterday night without having time to check.

Apparently I am the one one who attacked but I don't remember doing so...) maybe it is related to the automatic move ?
But anyway I'd be glad to have peace as it was.

Random and me are pretty convinced it's a triggered thing in the scenario.. I did notice that one of your units was injured, but it was at 2 hp and it should either have been dead or defeated one of mine so that made no sense. Either way, we will just make peace since as far as I'm concerned we were never at war in the first place :)

Remember that town with a barbarian citizen before? Now he mysteriously achieved French citizenship.. Hooray for that, I say, since that apparently made him happy enough to work again ;)

Now THAT's wierd! He should have over time become an English citizen... Beware, it's some sinister plot by the French to infiltrate your colonies. You now have a chance of that city flipping to the French!

Yes.. I'm starting to think it's a French ploy too.. I mean, French is just another synonymous for Barbarian in the first place, n'cest pas? ;) :D (notes Loulong turning red and runs for cover! - just kidding Lou!)

I might have to put a temple in there when money allows :mischief:

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !

On the other hand when barbarians become civilized, it is normal they become French as they pick the best civilization has to offer ! :)

Weird though...

New turn started

1531AD played and sent.
I will be out of town tomorrow and most of Sunday (military duty). I will check in the morning before I leave to see if the turn has reached me, if not I will get caught up when I get back Sunday evening. Sorry, and thanks for your patience.
