Killed two Jaegers on the border without loss, following an artillery bombardment.

Pillaged a road near Minsk.

Major battle at Odessa.
The Ottomans failed to capture the city due to unexpectedly large artilllery defenses and mostly because of the heroic deeds of some conscript jaegers that went all the way to elite...

After heavy and quite successfull bombardment, our sipahi attacked. We killed 7 jaegers at the cost of one such formation whose chief failed to hear the retreat order. Now he is been beheaded he sure won't hear much more either...
Then religious zealots cost us 2 more sipahis and 2 janissaries !! Ottoman troops continued to advance though... but there are some more defenders in the city.

Total : 8 jaegers, 3 sipahis and 2 janissaries...

Cossack column in range of Odessa which helped kill stack nw of Odessa and capture grandbatteries. Many retreats and perhaps a cossack unit died (poor notes and memory).

1 soldado destroyed west of Pamplona and some coastal bombardment agaisnt the mighty english fleet.

Albeit stunned by the news of the defeat of the second column, our brave soldeiers marched once again against Odessa.

The artillery barrage was efficient (what with all the batteries that were captured from us) but our troops prevailed anyway.

We lost 1 sipahi and 1 janissary but killed the 3 defending jaegers as well as 10 cossacks in the city and captured 12 grand batteries (including some of our fromer ones no doubt). The Russian military potential has lost some of its teeth !
The crescent flag now hangs high over Odessa

Late comers for the attack then chased other Russian troops. One cossack and 1 jaeger are then killed in the outskirts of Odessa while a group of battered Russian soldiers remain near the city.

Pillaged road n of Odessa. Demoralized by the loss of Odessa, the troops retreat, but vow to do their best to slow the eastward advance of the central alliance.

I'll be away from c3c for a good chunk of November. I've pmed/emailed Luthor and Wolfman earlier about this, but no agreed upon solution. If y'all find a temporary replacement, I'll be happy to turn it over for a while.
