C3C PBEM : "Pydna" - Rise of Rome scenario (level : newbees)

uh ? I thought I had written war update after my turn but it seems gone. Oh well here it is more or less:

Hannibal proceeds with the siege of the port of Tarentum. After some worthless bombardment, the army easily disposes of the garrisons and enters the streets of the town, while people feast for the liberation from the oppressing roman rule.
Some roman galley has been spotted near Croton. We wonder what for ?

Meanwhile in the south egyptian settlers that tried to settle the rightfully carthaginian lands, have been offered to join the empire and they gladly did. In turn, the generous carthaginian commanders awarded them with fine and strong metal bracelets to wear at wristles and ankles. Sadly, their spearman guards injured by barbarians had to be finished to alleviate the unbearable pain caused by wounds.

GPS turn 38.

killed 3 celtic archers and 1 swordsman.
sank 2 roman galleys, lost one galley.

killed some celts and egyptians.
Preparing siege of Canosa or whatever the name ^^

troops inching their way towards Miletus

Sorry for the late report.

A roman army surprised Hannibal's camped around the port during the siege. An emergency attack was sent toward the army with most forces present in Magna Grecia. The garrison protecting the army died thanks to catapult bombardment (which was instead useless against the army). 3 War Elephants and 3 Numidian Mercenaries were lost attacking the legion while taking only 1/4th of its life. In the end it was Hannibal's army itself to strike the final blow to the roman legion (I had even taken a Screenshot of the fight between the 2 armies but I messed up and lost it before saving it :( )

In honour of this great battle and of the heroes who fought it and died for their nations, King Onedreamer sent a messenger to King Fourth Wise Man proposing a truce of 2 turns to celebrate the deads.

edit: of course this proposal has nothing to do with the loss of so many men in southern Italy... :mischief:

Miletus has been taken. Lost 2 or 3 Heavy Cavalry in the process. 3 Heavy Cavalry outside Melitus were killed with no casualties. Hadrian's Wall has been built. Long live the Persians.

where's pydnaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I think I stuffed up. I'll resend. Sorry about that guys.

after having not heard of Pydna for 8 days, I received from Oagersnap a save of the last turn I already played and sent. Since in the email there wasn't a word about the reasons, my questions now is...: what he hell is going on ? :P

I just got a war update from Oagersnap and sounded like he played the right turn (i think). Maybe it got misnamed again. The last turn I played was 150BC so maybe you can load it and check it out. Otherwise, maybe he just sent the wrong file.

No it is the turn we've played already; something went wrong when Wiseman got it, so he sent the last turn again. At least that's how I think it is.

if something went wrong then Wiseman should have asked daufoi to resend, and not restart all the turn from the beginning.
I have this turned played and saved on my PC, I could send it again to Daufoi if he didn't keep his, but I sure see no reason why to replay it.

I'll resend it to wiseman when I get back home.

resent to wiseman
