C3C PBEM : "Scipion" - Rise of Rome scenario-based PBEM

265BC -----> Carthage
The Egyptian city of Khmum was captured with no Persian loses. The Egyptians lost 2 spearmen defending the city and 1 archer in the desert nearby. :D
A Persian galley was lost in an attack on a fleet of 4 Macedonian galleys off the Egyptian coast near Alexandria. Is this an attempt by the Macedonians to come to the aid of their Egyptian allies :confused:

A persian galley was sunk near corinth.
A small village from the scyths attacked and razed. We lost one phalanx while the enemy lost 2 spearman and one bowman.

No disembark in egypt yet :)

260BC Persian forces have captured the Egyptian city of Giza. :D
Persian loses: 2 Immortals :sad:
Egyptian loses: 1 archer, 2 spearmen and 1 worker captured. :)
2 Persian galleys were lost in an attack on the Macedonian fleet north of Egypt. :confused:

255BC --------> Carthage
An Egyptian spearman was eliminated with no loses. Other than that there was no action. :)

All's quiet on the Roman Front. Played and sent to Portuga...

250BC ------> Carthage
Lots to report. :)
Naval battles: A Persian galley attacked a fleet of three Macedonian galleys near Alexandria and sank one of them.
A Persian galley attacked a fleet of two Macedonian galleys north of the new Persian city of Ghulaman on the Isle of Cypres and sank one of them.
Egyptian front: Persian forces captured the Egyptian city of Elephantine losing one horseman. Egyptian loses were 3 spearmen and 1 swordman.
Persian forces destroyed the Egyptian city of Heliopolis eliminating one Egyptian spearman and losing one Persian archer.

The captured city of Giza has been renamed in honor of the leader of the Egyptian campaign, General GreyBeard. Hence forth the city shall be known as " Old Giza " :)

And onto Carthage. Intelligence reports that Rome is in flames -looks like a revolution is underway.

yikes!!! That's alot of immortals near my borders!!!
I hope the persia has enough burrial grounds for all of them.

One persian horseman defeated by a hoplite.

:lol: 245 -----> Carthage
In an attack on a group of 3 Hoplites on a hill outside the Macedonian city of Sardis, the Persians lost 4 horsemen and only managed to take out 1 hoplite.
Tough little buggers. Not quite as easy as taking out Egyptians. :)
The only other action was a naval engagement just west of the isle of Cypres. One Macedonian galley and two Persian galleys ended up on the bottom of the Mediteranean Sea.
Meanwhile in the Persian capital a Great Wonder has been built. The Great Library. Persia is the seat of all knowledge. :worship: :king: :queen:

Gone to Rome again. Mighty Carthage is a tad annoyed with Persia - missed the GL by 3 turns! We'll discuss compensation later.

240BC played and sent to Portuga. Rome has founded two more cities in modern day Austria. They will produce many Legions when this revolution ends...

The temple of artemis was built in macedonia :)

five macedonian cavalry units atacked the tiny persian stack of 21 immortals (plus friends) defeating 4 immortals without suffering any casualties.
A little up north, one macedonian cavarly defeated a persian horseman that was scouting our territory.

The goths decided to pay us a visit. However macedonians didn't like their manners, and a hoplite defeated a goth warrior.

The scythian are sieging on of our cities in the north. They destroyed one hoplite. Their casualties are unknow.n
