Well, even if you did do that, it is overpowering for the period. I am not an expert on World War II, but I am quite sure that the majority of air losses were caused by opposing air craft and not as much sams/anti-aircraft. I just wanted to let Rocotech know for any future versions he might do as it is extremely disheartening to see that damn "shot" or "missile" or whatever being fired and knowing my plane is going to shot down almost every time. It scared me into not even using my Ju 87 Bs which are my strongest bombers.
 
C'mon. You've got to be used to it by now. Playing against the AI, it seems to shoot down 80% of your planes, but *YOUR* Flak only shoots down 10% of the AI bombing runs. :rolleyes:
I agree though. (Not just in this scenario...in the vanilla game also). Bombers lose much of their effectiveness because of flak. I've stopped building them altogether any many of my epic games because of this AA disparity problem. This kind of sucks, because you lose the "combined operations" flavor of the game, as a purely ground-based force is not really at a disadvantage against a more diversely equipped foe.

BTW...does anyone know for sure if an opposing human player gets this "AI flak bonus" (for lack of a better term) in PBEM games?

Yes you are right. AA-batterys were never great killers compared
to air-units. I have implemented a change in version 1.4 where AA-battery
is reduced from 8 to 4.

No prob...civ isn't the most important thing in my life. My Girlfriend, Family and Friends are slight ahead of it (and that isn't even combining them all!).

Uboat North of Berbera sunk by Heavy Cruiser.

Stack NorthEast of Paris bombed by RAF ... 1 Aircraft lost to Interceptors and 1 to Flak.

Stack of 25 Subs and 1 Destroyer East of Sicily attacked by Destroyers ... 10 Subs sunk for loss of 5 Destroyers.

Caroline Islands bombed by RAF.

Bilbao captured for loss of 3 Infantry.
La Coruna captured for no loss.

Neutrals ... 3 CL, 11 Subs, 4 DD and 1 Coastal Ship sunk at various locations for loss of 3 DD.
