C3C PBEM -WWII-Game Thread (Tomorrow Belongs to Me)

France is proud to report the destruction of a German panzer in the north and an Italian cruiser in the south. The Italians are backstabbers, they were talking about peace when they declare war and bring tanks to the front. We don't worry, we have enough defences left to make plenty of holes in those little Italian people!

The Furher is sad to announce that the Dutch and the Swedes have joined the side of the imperialistic English and the sniveling French. Of course, we knew that they were easy to bribe and were expecting these courses of events. We were not dismayed for long, however, as we have unleashed the full fury of our armed forces. Our frauleins were good at dispersing the wine and cheese to the French as their few meager forces were easy to kill, whatever forces we could find that is. Apparently the French gave some wine and cheese to the English navy as they were so drunk they couldn't keep their boats afloat. Many a young seamen now rests in Davy Jones' Locker. We look forward with eager anticipation at sinking many more English boats. Our airforce also got some good target practice this month as we were able to bomb some units in the field into dust. The memory of The Red Baron lives! Next month will be even better as many of our forces will sleep in the Paris! The German High Commander sends this message to his enemies: "Ich kicken sei arse ist mucho gut!" which means "Surrender now or die!"

The evil, Imperialist English and French made alliances with Spain, Sweden and the Netherlands! They did this without even telling anybody else! Well, we talked to the Dutch envoy in Rome and he convinced his queen that that was a dastardly deed. She then proceeded to declare war on the French and English. We are certain that Spain and Sweden will come to see the peaceful peoples of Germany and Italy in the same way!

On the war front: the English invaded Libya so we destroyed their tank force with the loss of one of our own. (Two lost tanks for Brits, one for Italy).

umm...that was my battle report...

Look, smart guy! Just 'cuz you gots lots o' units don't mean I does! :p

@ Rcoutme: I know you posted your battle report. I was talking about the next guy in line. I posted my message more than 24 hours after you posted your message. I would assume that the next guy would have played his turn. But it looks like I assumed incorrectly.

MAJOR ISSUE:
-------------
See post #73 here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=93274&page=4&pp=20
Subs do have their stealth ability on; I thought it was agreed that in exchange for taking off the ability of all units to see subs, we would also take off their stealth ability, that is their ability to choose what ship to attack when attacking a stack.
The way things are, this is a major disadvanmtage for the Allies as our only chance for victory depends on all the reinforcements that have to be brought across the Atlantic from America, and German subs can just pick off transports at will.

Well...we could start the game over. Especially if you guys want to try my 'final' version.

Edit: I started a new thread on the scenario at http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=2027698#post2027698 so I deleted the copied information.

I have been watching the AI play the game (since I don't have 6 people in my home to do it) and it seems to be quite workable.

Sounds like a good scenario, and I thought we were trying this scenario out. If it is better, we should give it a try.

I didn't see if the sub-problem was dealt with...

I don't want to start over. I have already invested 1 1/2 for each of my turns into this game and while that may not sound like a lot, it is to me. I vote we continue to play this one as is. After we are done, we can play rcoutme's version.

@ Thrust: I probably will, I just needed the reference to El Mencey's stuff.

For the rest, I agree that restarting will cost a lot of time and effort. I am very willing to continue the game as is. There is no really good way of eliminating the sub problem, except to have a gentleman's agreement that all combat ships must be destroyed or redlined before any transport is attacked.

The reason for redlining being ok is that a transport will be the 'defending' unit if all others are redlined in any game where subs do not have stealth attack anyways.
