While playing a game with non violent house rules, I noted that the AI was not building these units. The AI finally launched a couple of subs (t440 or so) but I found my destroyers could see them. Was under the impression that only AGEIS should have been able to do so. Is this consistent with standard knowledge?
I can't seem to get any value out of the mobile SAMS. Do they work at all?
Was it odd that both AIs that had ICBM emptied their stocks on the turn before I completed SMD? These were not launched versus me btw, but seems a bit much of a coincidence. As the game went on more were produced and used but never versus me. Standard?
What are the sentry and locked alliance features? These seem not to work or perhaps I haven't gotten them yet.
Also, how is auto bombard supposed to work?
In one war against me it seemed that the enemy AI used precision strikes against several of my cities with the result that my defenses were targeted and destroyed first. Barracks, civil defense and SMB were wiped out pretty much first among improvements destroyed although I wasn't careful to take notes. Does precision bombing prioritize on these structures?
House rules here preclude victory conditions other than score, with domination unlikely due to pacifist manifesto. Given high difficulty level we were well behind in score for the vast majority of this game, noted that the AI at some point seemed to eschew taking cities in their endless wars for the simple and brutal act of razing. Capitalizing upon this to come storming from behind to now lead by a few points in score, I am now struck to see that the AI seems uninterested in further wars versus me. Relative to vanilla this seems odd as in that version the AI was not shy about launching hopeless wars. Would it be fair to say that in Conquests the AI is not as likely to attack strong human players as was previously the case or I am simply experiencing variance?
In Conquests are all AIs pretty much going to gravitate to Fascism as has been the case in my first game here?
Thanks in advance for any response.
