I just discovered this one right now. It looks pretty good for a free game.

Nor are we huge fans of probably generic mmos. Least of all me. If you even use the letters "mmo" in the title you're going to have to give a convincing good, solid in-depth explanation for me to even bother looking at the link.

No pressure, as a decent enough explanation will suffice for others as I wouldn't click the link anyways

It's a browser based MMO-RTS game. During the tutorial I was actually surprised at how complex it is. There's a ton of options and it's quite in-depth.

You have tons of buildings, resources, have to build armies, etc....There's people online and you can chat with them.

I already have many good RTS's, and i get the pleasure of enjoying them without the disadvantage of them being an MMO... why do designers still think that we want to play MMOs?

Ironically enough the numbero f successful mmorpgs is very small considering at least one is released a week if not day. There's WoW, Everquest 1 & 2, maybe a couple of asian mmos (Maplestory?), and the rest probably don't make nearly as much money (ie Guild Wars, Runescape). The vast majority of mmos don't make a lot of money if they survive more th an a couple of years (or even one) at all.

The problem with these games is once you build up an empire it gets boring and it takes to much time to manage it all.
