Pour Decision Maker
Musicians Katy Perry and Taylor Swift have been at each other’s throats for some time. Apparently, this all started way back in 2012 when Perry allegedly attempted to poach some of Swift’s dancers. It has continued, bar a number of ceasefires, since then. A number of other entertainment heavy-weights, like Ruby Rose, have weighed in on both sides. Heck, Ed Sheeran made news by not talking about it.
This month marked a turning point as Swift whipped out a power play; she released her catalogue of music to Spotify on the same day Perry’s new album dropped.
(by the way, when did music start coming out on Fridays?)
Now, Perry is apparently ready for the feud to be over, stating that she is “ready to let it go.” Of course, that statement came one day after her new album, containing the fighting-words single Swish Swish dropped. It seems easy to let the dispute drop after you’ve made money off of it.
That said, I’m not certain that letting it go is within Perry’s power. Swift was the aggrieved party here, after all.
Can a person whose actions started a dispute end it unilaterally?
Thanks in advance for not bothering to say you don’t care about this.
