Can you use civ3 Complete Mac Version 1.22a

For Civilization 3 Complete, there is no 1.22f patch. (or at least i didn't find it) Is version 1.22a suitable for GOTM?

Yes, Civ3 Complete for Mac is fine, except we have two Civ3 xOTMs:

GOTM with a G is for Play the World version 1.27f - you can find this in "Unsupported" in the Mac version.

COTM with a C is for Conquests version 1.22 - this is the "Civ3 Complete" application in the Mac version

The Civ3 Complete for Mac installation includes both these applications, but you must ensure that you use the right one when you play. COTM starting saves should not open in Play the World, but GOTM starting saves will open in either, and if you play them in PtW your submission will be rejected.

If there's a reference to 1.22f then I suspect that's an error on my part, as I think the Windows version doesn't have the 'f'. The 'a' on your Mac version is just to indicate that you have applied the Universal Binary patch, and it will now make compressed manual saves.
