Hurricane Harry Devastates The US East Coast
During September of this year, Hurricane Harry swept through the Caribbean, quickly destroying most of Puerto Rico, mainly the city of San Juan. It quickly went up north, where it damaged part of Miami and began minor flooding. As it moved northward, it destroyed part of Charleston, sweeping away Fort Sumter and the newly constructed Verizon Wireless Southeast US headquarters, resulting in the stall of cell phone calls over the Southeast until October 4th. It moved northward, barely hitting North Carolina, before hitting New Jersey, where it uprooted the Boardwalk in Atlantic City. Finally, it stopped just south of New York City, just causing some minor damage in Staten Island. (Lucky miss huh?) Overall, there were over 1,500 deaths, and estimation puts damage at $2 trillion dollars. The government was quick in assessing the disaster, and managed to restore about 1/3 of the destroyed buildings. It is still continuing repairs.
Eye of God Crackdown
A new Counter-terrorism unit was set up by the US this year in March. This new unit specially trained, and was set up in every state in considerable numbers. The unit managed to kill and capture many Eye of God members, one notable mention, Jerry Walker, one of the Wyoming Supreme Court Justices. Other activities on the part of the FBI and CIA have paid off. The New York governor, 3 representatives, and a senator head of the judiciary committee from Oregon were about to be blown to smithereens by ten warheads, but they were found in time by a top-ranking CIA informant, the warheads were made by the US. At Houston Texas launch center, the Eye of God infiltrated the facilities, but were caught by the CIA. They found a Council of 100 member, Fredrick Hawkins, and a laptop containing names of several Council of 100 members, mainly the Supreme Court Justice Derik Hal, the general who was until recently president, and several senators. They were all executed. Fredrick Hawkins was killed by a CIA agent while being transported to prison. The president has however said this is only the tip of the iceberg, as there are still 93 Council members left. Therefore, he has called for emergency powers, mainly seizing the Supreme Court's powers by Congressional Vote. However, this was beaten by only one vote.

Turkey Become A Leading Economic Nation
Turkey is probably the first Middle eastern nation to have achieved global market status. Their Trade Nexus has begun a boom in stock trades, as more companies establish headquarters in Turkey. Indeed, their market has surpassed London, and is in 3rd place for most frequent activity, only surpassed by Tokyo and New York. With this comes great benefits. The fact that nations around Turkey are jealous, yet don't want to compromise the prosperity in their share of the Trade Nexus. The accessible commodities that once only the wealthy Turks could afford. Even air traffic has grown over 300% this year! This is indeed a golden age for Turkey.

The 'Second Napoleonic Wars'
Let's start with oh so poor Italy. Germany quickly sent reinforcements, fortifying Rome, Naples, and the area north of current French positions. France tried an assault on Rome via the sea, only to fail. Next, they tried a breakout on the mainland. This actually succeeded, but losses were heavy and they advanced very slowly. Nevertheless, they surrounded Naples, but it still stands. The EEC launched an attack on Italy's Slovenia (EEC is the purple nation, not the light blue nation Nuke Kid!), quickly assimilating it as few Germans were there. Now to the CA landings. The CA forces dug in, and waited for the French. And the CA got a hell of a beating. They got surrounded. They got creamed. They basically got kicked out of France, and were either sent to Germany, or sent back to the CA. And the French took few casualties. Now to Germany. Here, the French got creamed, French creamed. (IE: Cheese-Eating Surrender Monkey Style) The Germans quickly began an assault on Luxemborgia, and liberated most of it, with only a few villages to save. The Germans mainly flanked the French like crazy, and they were quickly surrounded. (The French that is) Soon, the Germans in eastern France went on the offensive, and took Nancy. Soon, they linked with the French rebels. France did manage to suppress the rebels on the Spanish border and the ones in the middle of France with seemingly probable promises. Finally, France launched most of its missiles at several key cities. These include Leipzig, Munich, Frankfurt, Naples, and Kiel. These strikes were mainly to demoralize the people, while keeping historical sites intact. The Kiel Canal was destroyed, along with many commercial buildings in all cities.
