Edith Binder impatiently paced across the room. She hid her face with her mask. She had no idea what the other members faces looked like.
Russel Haloday was a tall man and stared out the window as if he were in a trance. Benjamin Wolkon was of a smaller height but was thin. There were five others present at this meeting. All presented themselves with their code names and no one knew what each other's profession was nor where they lived. They had recently gone threw extreme measures to change the passwords. Tension had been growing within the group.
Finally Oliver Kline stepped through the door. "I am glad you all could come members of the sacred 100."
"What's been going on Oliver?" Edith asked angrily, "We've all heard of the arrests now is there a leak in the system or has the Vice cut the trail to a dead end."
"It would seem Robert Jargon has assured me that we are in no danger. With Fredrick Hawkins, or known by us as Alexander Walker, dead the trail went no further than the other members. I have never met any of the others nor did I even know that the General was on our side. I could not believe how far our system has gotten in."
"Thanks to that damn Harold MEndel and his cronies we are now being hunted down like rats. How does he know every turn we take, every move we make?" one members grumbled angrily.
"Mendel is a smart man, he obviously has been doing his research and finding our structure. Getting men in every which way."
Russel Haloday spoke up now, "The one thing I don't get is why we, the members of 100, never heard of the plot in whole."
Oliver calmly replied, "No one did, only the Vice, Jargon, knows everything. We all act not as one giant council but ten, now nine, separate cabinets. I would not be surprised if he only has put his confidence in the closest friends and members, maybe he only knows. MAybe he is not a man but a higher group that not even we know of. Who knows how far this council goes."
Benjamin Wolkon now began to speak, "We used to be in the Vice's good graces until you messed up the Mendel assassination. After that we were suddenly cut out of the loop."
"It was not my fault."
"Oh really...The Werewolves of Thunder told me you gave them weapons that had awful sites."
"I had explicit information to give them those guns."
"And how did Mendel find out about it? Just before Jim Bailey was going to shoot an FBI agent bursts through the door, the shot goes array and hits Mendel in the leg. It cost the president his leg, but he can still walk damn it!"
"Are you accusing me of being a snitch?"
"I am just saying if we can do it in the US no reason they can't do it to us."
"I could have you killed boy!"
"Really, that will grab some unwanted attention, especially in times like these. You're walking on thin ice Oliver and I got my eye on you."
