That's absurd. (I mean the second half, comparing Vatican and Mecca)

Unlike Vatican, there is no political body, no powerholder, or no leader whatsoever in Mecca. Even when there was a caliph, the last time his seat was in Mecca was in 7th century.

It is just a city that happens to be the birthplace of a prophet. (Compare it to Nazareth; or Jerusalem if you include the existence of a holy building)
