2111: Houston, We Have A Mother******' Problem
Bird Flu Scare
This year, an unknown strain of bird flu entered North America and Europe, causing a panic in these continents. The flu apparently causes the bird's digestive system to push out abnormal amounts of feces, before dying of secondary effects. Although the disease did not spread to humans, there is still no vaccine. Also, the feces have done extensive damage, especially in New York, where there is already a huge pigeon population, and Venice.
Rudd Tanks Produced by CA
This year, new Rudd tanks were introduced by the CA's Armored Branch of military to help in the war in Europe. The new battle tank is much easier to navigate in wet or mountainous terrain, and has a heavier barrel. Full scale replacement will be pretty cheap , estimates around 1 EP. However, well-trained tank divisions will be harder to train, as there are few tanks in the CA's armored division.
(CA: Replace all tanks with Rudd tanks)
Crimson Patriots Raid the Seas
This year had less piracy than recent years, but stolen goods were much more dangerous. Many US supply ships have disappeared, probably sunken or their goods stolen. Greek cruise ships were boarded, and people taken hostage, although all have been rescued. The worst dilemma was the sinking of three Coast Guard boats by a submarine in the San Fransisco docks.
Eye of God Nuclear Submarine launches strike!
A Russian nuclear submarine taken by the Eye of God has launched a strike, but not on American soil. No, it launched a missile at the Panama Canal. The Canal almost entirely collapsed, although luckily no ships were in the canal at the time. However, maintenance crew still had 16 deaths due to the collapse of the lock control rooms. Trade has obviously suffered. American ships were put on hold in their docks, because of restriction of movement in Canadian waters via the Northwest Passage.

Meteors Strike Africa
Around 100 meteors struck various locations in Africa, from the Sahara, to Nairobi suburbs, to the Congo. Many crash sites mark mysterious minerals, some of them glowing. Turkish scientists in the area of one blast site found out it was a similar type of crystal used to power Ta ships.
Special Report: Second Napoleonic Wars
Franco-Germanic Front
Luxemborgia and Germany have begun their advance towards Paris, hoping to link with the US forces, and any stray Italian paratroopers. This tactic will most likely cut off northern France with the south, almost effectively ending the war. However, if this gamble fails, German forces will be outflanked and their supply routes cut. The stakes are high, and this might the final push to win the war.
Franco-Normandy Front
The US has had a problematic year with supplies being taken by the Crimson Patriots and whatnot. Regardless, US forces have been met with heavy resistance. French civilians have taken up arms after Allied bombardment in Paris. The US has to now face the tough decision, killing of potential civilians, or the destruction of French monuments where heavy resistance is taking place? The US is still being held in the outskirts, although some US forces have managed to push all the way to the Arc de Triomphe, before being pushed back.
Franco-Spanish Front
French forces have began to push further into Spain, but have met extreme resistance. Andorra refuses to surrender, as Spanish paratroopers come almost every 48 hours, never halting the defense. French forces have to truck supplies over the Pyrenees, because Spanish fighters control the skies, and there are no sea routes to French forces. Portuguese forces have met a hold-up after French forces met full on with their infantry, but Portuguese forces continue to march on.
Italian Front
As Italian forces went on to march on Marseilles, they hit a full on with French tanks, followed by infantry on their rear. The Italians were almost slaughtered, but suddenly the Italian air force gave its first real display of firepower, and French infantry retreated. However, Italy still needs to replenish its troops. The EEC has advanced towards Rome, but their lines have begun to run thin, as Italian resistance begin raids on supplies.
Scandinavian/Danish Front
The Ural Federation's forces have secured all of Denmark after a large push, although resistance has proven difficult to repress. The Danish Navy and Air Force have surrendered, and most of the army as well. In Scandinavia, German forces begun the push towards Oslo, while the Ural Federation completely overran the Baltic States, and pressed into Finland. Fighting has been fierce, but the Ural Federation's numbers make up for its lack of training.
