The United States of America condemns the French attacks on Milan as vicious and completely unacceptable. It is becoming clearer as time progresses that the French government does not take the responsibilities of sovereignty seriously, not only intervening in domestic matters of foreign countries and starting wars, but needlessly targeting civilians contrary to numerous accepted international agreements and norms. We hope that the French government will cease the targeting of civilians immediately and begin peace negotiations, restoring some of its credibility.

While Austria does not begrudge the right of Sicilians to fight for their country, it must be done be legally recognized means. They should be uniformed and fighting in an organized army. Soldiers captured fighting in uniform will be accorded all the legal rights of prisoners of war.

Thousands are dying becuase of your stubbordness, you are still outnumbered, still angering many other nations not yet in the war... as long as you continue down this path, you will see yourself not in front of your people as a glorious conquerer or victorious leader but rather a broken excuse of a human being stuck in a prison cell in Italy facing crimes against humanity, crimes against the Italian people, and crimes against Germany and Denmark. Not only that, you will also recieve newspapers boasting the French people suffering under the rules of Germany, Denmark, Italy and possibly other nations.
So in the name of humanity, I ask that you stop this nonesense at once. Germany is willing to sit with the president and negotiate a safe peace in Italy and Germany. Of course France will have to pay for their crimes, but France will still be free and you will be out of prison, maybe, the latter I cannot promise. That is up to the International community, but if you end the war now, in favorable terms provided by Italy and us, you can guarantee that Germany will stand next to you and help you avoid a criminal sentence by talking to the Italians.
