Playing G&K with standard map, epic, king difficulty. Default amount of random civs and cs with standard map.
Playing as Netherlands and encountered America, got in war and am totally confused how America is fielding an army of Caroleans, the Swedish UU.
In my game they are labelled as "American Carolean".
Is this a bug? How does another civ get the unique unit of another civ? I've met all the other civs in my game and there are 5 of us left, from the starting default 8. There is no Sweden and from city names of captured dead civs, there was no Sweden to begin the game.
Anyone ever encounter America using "American Carolean" troops? In my game, they move through wood and jungle tiles as if they had the Minutemen ability to pass through rough tiles as clear.
New to Gods and Kings so maybe I missed something. Does America somehow promote Minutemen to an "American Carolean" version? I don't see this in the in-game Civlopedia but figured I'd ask.
