Caveman 2 Cosmos

MY opinion: When i was in the Non-commissioned Officers Advanced Training Classes, our class had a Quote: K.I.S.S (Keep it Simple Stupid).

I only play with less than 9 civs, and have a HARD time on Marathon. On a Huge map, but if you like longer PreH Era than go to Giant , but thats really too much. IMPO

Giant is my usual play size. It used to be OK, but C2C is seemingly a lot hungrier than it used to be, so I'm going to need to use a smaller map to get the same performance, by the look of it.

Been playing for about the 3rd time getting beyond medieval and have gotten further then I have before. Certain issues about the gameplay kept getting me bored of it. Mainly that the picking of stuff for your city to build from over 50 choices gets really monotonous when you have over 20 cities. I usual just scroll quickly and pick something with high stats as quickly as I can too frustrated to put full strategic thought into it.

But anyway. Something weird recently happened. I'm playing the Australia civ up to about Microbiology late reainissance and all of a sudden my 4th city Melbourne sudden goes from a population of about 50 to 3... Or at least 3 must have been when I notice it had reset. The graphical size of the city clearly showed it was tiny but it still had all the wonders and improvements that had been built for it including megafarm, so it clearly went back up very quickly. I'm guessing this is a bug. I don't think even nukes can completely wipe out a city.

There are 2 options to mitigate this.
1: Use the build in queue system and save the queue with CTRL- (0-9). Go to the next city and press the saved number (0-9). Saves a lot of time if having many similar cities to build up.
2: C2C has a build list editor for cities. It's one of the buttons below the gold in the top left corner. This takes longer to setup but allows for more than 10 different queues. These build lists show up in the city at the very bottom of the buildings list.

both options sound good however there are no simplified clear instructions for these. I have three queues set up in my game but they seem to build one or two then wander off as if the city manager has taken over, so I just use the buttons in the city screen.

Caveman2Cosmos v34 is now available here.

There have been many changes including improvements in support for multi player games.

I'll get the first post updated tomorrow.

Good day to you all. The greatest mod indeed.

But I downloaded this file twice, and both times the file was corrupt and couldn't open.

Go by what i just put there, the one above was not approved yet, sorry.

Hmm... Downloaded also twice from your link, and also both times the file was corrupt and didn't open.

Let's see whether someone has downloaded successfully this file.
If yes, then the problem is in my connection, although i think the file was downloaded fully - 1,456,896 kb

Filesize should be 1.491.888.947 Bytes and md5hash be706c0c0c27e3a6d365e678ddaeeb87

Also make sure you use 7zip 9.20

Very, very strange situation - I downloaded this file already 7 times.
Every time the size of downloaded file was 1.491.861.504 Bytes,

and 7zip 9.20 couldn't open it.

Very strange.

Have you tried a different browser?

I've also had problems downloading the new version. It starts off slow and continues slow for a couple of hours, then fails. Tried it twice.

It might be a problem with ModDB and not the file itself, though.

Did you make sure you have the right version of 7zip 9.20 for your computer, i.e.- 32 bit or 64?

My problem is that when I try to load the mod, it shows me that its loading it, and indicates that it's loaded, but it doesn't actually load the mod!

Oh, I see what happened. There are two Caveman2Cosmos folders, one inside the other.
