Caveman 2 Cosmos

What are the possible maximum values ​​for iGrydWidth and iGridHeight file CIV4WorldInfo.hml?
 
you mean WORLDSIZE_GIANT iGrydWidth and iGridHeight ?

i m playing 42 civs giant earth map

but diplomacy tap there s only showing 36 civs

so i can't edit war or peace or master and so on...

Why do some research technologies multiply my research income?

For example researching scavenging, I have 50 research (also with cave dwelling), but I only have 12 research when I select weaving.

EDIT: This only seems to happen at the speed eternity.
 
Not only on Eternity but more on higehr difficutlies as the AI get more techs from start then.
It is due to Tech Diffusion. You get a boost in your research when x amount of others already have that technology. I am not sure of you get more if x+1 have it but I do know the amounts ahve been increased from earlier versions so tech diffusion is not stronger and evens out teh playing field a lot all the time.

I dont know if this is the right place, but I have had lots of trouble trying to get C2C to work correctly.

Im using the steam version and it is fully updated.

The problem is, I load the mod and it closes the program and re-opens it as normal but when it re-opens the game says the mod has loaded but none of the resources are there (when you play, it is just a normal Civ game; not even the main menu screen loads or the tech trees when i check the civilopedia!)

It even says Caveman2Cosmos in the corner!

I have re-installed 10+ times and used both the .rar and .exe version of the installer, with multiple downloads and still no fix!!

Help!

I'm no expert but I think with Staem you have to manually choose the file location. It is something liek mygames/beyondthesword/MODS not the Steam directory.......

I already installed into the correct location, the mod is detected and launches but when it loads, it is just the basic civ game.

I tried installing in some of the wrong locations too, that didnt work either!

Is it in documents/mygames/beyondthesword/MODS ?

I had it in there previously, but it didn't work and I have since removed it; I will try again though just in case but I have tried that location more than once.

I'll put a reply when ive installed.
 
Reinstalled into the My Games folder.

The same problem is still there, the mod loads but it has none of the C2C resources.

You probably have a folder named Caveman2Cosmos within the BtS Mods folder right? That's correct.

But then the problem is you ALSO have a folder within the Caveman2Cosmos folder named Caveman2Cosmos as well and that folder contains the mod files.

If I'm correct, take the Caveman2Cosmos folder that's inside the other one and move THAT to the Mods folder, delete the original, then rename the one you moved back to Caveman2Cosmos as it will have had to become Caveman2Cosmos - Copy or something in the process right?

Thanks for trying to help but i finally found the problem!

Seems i got really unlucky and both the installer and my .7z version of C2C were either incorrectly downloaded or were broken in some way; after my THIRD download of the .7z file, the game worked!

I dont really know what was wrong but im happy it finally works!
 
Hi,

hmmm with this Version I do get 2 errors during launch.

1. io error: Assets\xml\text\bug options screen.xml File can`t be found

2. Load XML call failed for xml\text\bug options screen.xml
current XML file is: xml\text\mapfinder_civ4gametext.xml

Then CIV BTS starts normaly, but after starting a game the whole programm closes without a warning or message.

Any idea ?

Hello,

I am playing v. 35, and noticed weird thing - after discovering writing I still can't make embassies nor trade technologies.

Is is a bug or it is suppose to be this way?
