I tried to give him lots of material to credit other modders with but he seems to have edited a lot of that out of the final. I said a lot of good stuff about all of you guys.Great job TB, doing interviews on behalf of C2C, beyond the call of duty. ^^
Btw. your book looks interesting, I'll be sure to check it out.
No... the point is that you can found the religion WHERE you want it founded (more than anything.) Sure it gives you more strategic options but that's the main thing, so that religions don't just get randomly founded about the map willy nilly, irritating the player with terrible random placements of holy cities. That it makes it optional to found the religion you just invented?
Welcome to C2C.
For an answer you need to tell us what version of C2C you are playing and more importantly your computer spec.
Also any background software you are running may be a problem.
The number of the file is 37.7,and my system specs are:
AMD FX 6300
GTX 950
Ballistix Sport 8GB(I actually have 16 GB of ram I added another two sticks)
Seagate Desktop HDD 1TB
That's okay lol.I have the game on high settings at 1080,and my proccessor is a 6 core which I overclocked to 4.3 ghz I believe.I think my GTX is 2GB,and the stutter just seems to happen when I just do anything besides nothing,as in if Im not hitting any buttons or doing anything at all the game seems to be running as smooth as it normally does, but say when I start moving the camera around or click on a unit or move one to a different tile that's where the stutter comes in.Hello John and Welcome to Caveman2Cosmos.
The FX 6300 is a quad or 6 core? And what speed?
The GTX uses DDR5 ram 1GB or more?
Your ram and HD are more than ample.
Once in the game under Options then the Graphics tab what settings are you using, High/ Medium/Low?
Also what resolution? I don't recommend anything over 1920 x 1080. But many players have used higher.
Does the stutter persist the longer you play? And how often do you manually save?
Lots of questions I know but the more details the easier it most of the time is to find a solution.
When you select a unit there can be a normal delay as the UI catches up to all the potential missions it can do right now. The stutter when you move about the map is more interesting still. It's part of a major memory saving improvement Koshling made a while back that causes much of the map to process the fact that it needs to render on the screen only when it's actually ON the screen. This can cause delays in panning about, yes, but it saves us so much memory during gameplay that it's crazy beneficial for us with this kind of massive mod. That's okay lol.I have the game on high settings at 1080,and my proccessor is a 6 core which I overclocked to 4.3 ghz I believe.I think my GTX is 2GB,and the stutter just seems to happen when I just do anything besides nothing,as in if Im not hitting any buttons or doing anything at all the game seems to be running as smooth as it normally does, but say when I start moving the camera around or click on a unit or move one to a different tile that's where the stutter comes in.
That makes alot more sense, and the camera thing its just more of a micro-stutter I might just try turning down some graphics or something lol.Thank you all for the help though! When you select a unit there can be a normal delay as the UI catches up to all the potential missions it can do right now. No only the first gets a prophet and no the tech tree only changes the icon when the religion has been founded. I think someone, not Platyping, The_J perhaps did have a mod that showed if a Great Person or other would be free on the tech tree. If I remember it correctly it even handled "the first X to research get a free Y" but the AI was not changed to understand beyond the first.if the first civ researching a religion with divine prophets on does not found the religion, does the second civ that researches it get a prophet? and if not is there a way to see if you will get one for researching the tech in the interface?
Even with an insanely good computer, the bottle neck is in memory usage. Graphical or non-graphical. If you want the game not to CTD as long as you can, I cannot emphasis enough - DO NOT USE HIGH GRAPHICS. It also stutters alot less at low.
