I haven't heard of any really bad oss problems lately and when AIAndy get them in his MP thread, he get it fixed usually the same day, and he hasn't had any questions in quite a while, as far as i know.

BG had some issues that AIAndy didn't figure out before he left, so I'll assume those issues are still present. That said, it is really a matter of luck whether or not you get OOSes playing C2C MP.

I fixed one major OOS before holidays which was the source of at least one of the OOS that BG reported and might well have been the source of both (as it was quite a major one).
 
I'm trying to merge the plant nuclear device mission into super spies, but I can't get it to show up as an option. I've found that my problem is isNukesValid in CvPlayer.cpp. However, I thought that I have make all the prereqs occur to make it return true (manhattan project, see 2 other civs, etc.). Any thoughts? Does it work in C2C?
isNukesValid needs to refer to the activating player and it may not currently do so correctly. These sorts of issues in python are probably left over from the switch from global nuclear access to nuclear access by player. It DID work but since that shift, there could be some leftover debugging to do on the python end still.

is the mod really mp stable? no oos???
We have some problems with this right now but not only are we trying to work in fixes to known OOS error spots, we've also discussed some methods to resync while remaining in game that may end up being implemented.
 
That may be true that it wouldn't need to access python at all.. I'll add it to my list to review in the coding for what may be going on there. Otherwise, not knowing the python structure at all, I couldn't even hazard a guess.
 
I just started playing this mod, and it's got really great atmosphere. However, I find myself at a loss what to do after I get some "advanced" (strength 3) units and have pretty much taken care of barbarians and wild animals...Sedentariness is a looong way away, and if I can't make new cities I find myself just building nothing but buildings which give me a little research or gold one after another to get there a little bit earlier (but it still takes a long time)...which gets a bit boring after a while.

What else is there to do before founding cities (except rushing a neighbour to get another city)? Or is there some type of strategy guide on this mod around somewhere?

This mod is designed and built by people who play as builders, so what you say is boring is what they say is interesting:lol:. As one of the modders I must point out that I find all that warfare stuff tedious. The first period of C2C is all about hunting wild animals and building your initial city. This takes a long time. Mostly because it did historically.

Unfortunately no one on the team has balanced the game for advanced start so people who are not interested in this period can just skip it.
 
I'll just point out that you don't have to wait until Sedentary Lifestyle to colonize more cities. You can do it at Tribalism via the Tribe unit. You can't quite spam them out and spread like the plague the way you can with Settlers since you can only have 1 at a time, but you can expand your empire pretty easily.
 
Thanks for the Tribalism hint, it makes much more sense now. It's not that I don't like building, but I'm running out of things to build in only one city and I just like planning new spots...but I also realized those sort of things are better asked in the Strategy and Tips subforum so I made a post there.

I also fear while war is tedious I won't be able to escape it for long as almost everyone I meet seems to be angry at me. Probably pretty accurate historically as well.
 
does the current version of this mod have sea cities and multi map for planets and galaxy expansion yet? and can you play against aliens. If you cant play against aliens once your in the galactic age then why not? I know there is a mod mod for this mod where you play against aliens and expand into the universe but I don't think I want to play it because there are fantasy creatures and magic in it witch I don't want to play with. Also can you show some pics of the 2 future era city graphics?

if there are not going to be aliens in future versions of the mod and the city graphics are going to remain the same as the modern era city graphics for the the future eras then never mind helping me with the installation problem.

also I am having problems installing the mod. The last time i tried to install the mod I was able to download it but I get errors in my unzipping program when I try to unzipp the mod. the errors are non stop witch causes my computer to freeze for a bit when I have to exit out of the program so basically I cant unzip the mod so that I can put it into my civ bts mod folder. no only that but now your link to the mod doesn't work and I deleted the mod. I don't know if the link isn't working just for my computer or if it is for everyone so please provide another link for the download and tell me what I need to do to install the mod properly
edit: okay I can download the mod but still cant install it
 
I just finished my first game( took me about 3 month :D) and i just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to the developer of this mod. This is really awesome.

Been playing C2C for some versions now, allowing it to replace RoM, Realism Invictus and Thomas War as my default mod (no vanilla for me, thanks). Love it, and i have to suggest incorporating the new Puppet States mod. At later stages, it could prove very useful...

OK, and many many thx, but what would you say then are the BEST part(s) of the Puppet States mod that YOU would want to see?
