Gilgamesch, could you please check the Lua file now? I'd like to implement yield importation by Friday. I used code tags rather than attaching the file, so you can look at it even on mobile.

Again, I recommend moving to SQL in order to improve both readability and performance. There are still many outstanding errors in the game text as well. Those need to be fixed, although I wouldn't recommend doing it now.

By the next release, you should add TreeGrowth, Emigrations, Cultural Diffusion, and Revolutions as standard features of CCtP. In addition, the remaining CCtP resources should be added into AssignStartingPlots, and should have quantities and be tradable as well. Building higher-up monopoly buildings should be easier for tall empires. I hope that the new CCtP policies will be back by v3.5.

For 3.6, we need to focus on fixing game text and balancing the game. If you remember, there is a mod that reduces the size of improvement graphics without compromising their apparent look, greatly improving the performance of the game—this mod should, of course, be implemented by default with CCtP. In addition, we should create a new kind of dummy Great Work obtainable at random in the early game and producible by Great Scientists in the late game—Exotic Beasts. These could work with the Zoo and Aquarium buildings already in CCtP, and produce Science and Tourism. We should also add the CameraRotation mod by default in 3.6.

For 3.7, if there is anyone on the forum who knows 3D modeling for CiV then we can implement 3D models for various plant resources. We should also perform a thorough review of the game text and begin migrating the existing database to SQL (all 3.5 and beyond work should be conducted in SQL, but in v3.7 we will start to migrate pre-existing code). Tile yield importation should definitely be implemented by v3.7, and religious beliefs should be modified in order to account for the fact that tiles will no longer be "worked" in the traditional sense—all city residents will be specialists. Health and plague will also be implemented, though using my framework rather than that of framedarchitecture.

By v4.0, we should implement multiple maps, space travel, et cetera, via modification of the DLL. In addition, we should create a concept of strategic reserves for resources (resources can be extracted, some are renewable and some are not) and implement corporations and legislatures. Underwater cities should also be added in v4.

Didnt get the time to look at it and fix it.
Anyway my lua knowledge is limited, also the use of sql is restricted due the fact that i didnt have setuped CCTP complete on my Modbuddy.
This would take a lot of time and i dont have this now.
Also to include so much stuff you need lua support and working code. Even when you have the Code, the performance could get very bad. It woud need hours of playtesting and improving this system. I know what iam talking about even xml and sql coding takes time. Dont ask me how many hours i spended for the policy and religion system.
And we have still problems, treegrowth looks broken, same for emigrations, and looking at Revolutions, there is much progress but a include is not on the near side.
Anyway i will not speak about the cost system, missing features from G and Kings and BNW.
There is a reason why its named WorkingVersion.

But for all of this we need the CCTP Crew.

Added it as a quick mod so you can look into it and tell me what you think about it, before i go to overwork it for the release.

Yo another quick mod.
This is the Religion part. I dont think i will add new beliefs at this time, unless someone of you, have any idea.
So first target with the two mods i posted is to pick up the upcomming system, till a complete overwork will be released.
Again now you have the chance to give name suggestions and or any suggestions or by helping with the text files.


I know some of you have already posted suggestions, and translations, but i didnt touched the text files the last days.
Dont be harmed all will be included.

At least i hope you will then enjoy a new kind of CiV CCTP, with full dll support and for this some new game mechanism.

I do appreciate it, Gilgamesch, that you took it largely upon yourself to support CCtP while the main producers of the mod have put it on hiatus. Most mods of this ambition would have died without someone like you who kept the project moving forward.

However, what is the status of the new religion inteface? Do you think that we will add back the CCtP resources?

Its fires own creation. I didnt seen it ingame just his pictures on the thread.
So i dont know what the status is about this.
I hope we go back soon to CCTP view of the whole mod.

Well, it looks like tile yield importation will not be present in the Friday release. I had to rework it today, just about to playtest it. I still have to add some rather vital features to the mod, so even if this playtest is successful the mod will be released by v3.6 at the earliest.

When doing work, you could create a testing mod, similar what i have done.
So many heads could overlook it, this helps sometimes.
Its not that iam familar with grammar or other things, iam general lazy, and after a hard day i dont complete my work often.
The code goes and i comeback think over it and then its illuminates me.
 
While i bump this thread, every of you who played CCTP with whowards dll mod have noticed that some buildings add negative yields to cities.
This is a recommended feature, its necassary to keep the balance of the mod.
The ai is forced to build happiness buildings during unhappy times, and some buildings adds unhappiness!
This works only with whowards dll mod, so the other features are also going into CCTP.
You will have the canal improvement you all asked for, and some other changes.
With all the changes along with CCTP, the next steps are to overwork the techtree and fires work on the lua functions for the policy tree.

Well, it turns out that my mistake was quite elementary: I forgot to write Events.ActivePlayerTurnStart.Add() statements. Major fail. :p:mischief:
 
Ok most work is done, iam tired was a long day.
After a good sleep and tasty meal i will return.
Then i will clean up my code and release it.
