We most likely will have a chat with CDZ soon.

What are our plans with CDZ and what can we offer ?

- We can offer a good proportion of gpt.
- We can also offer Monarchy. I expect them to be a but further in the Middle Ages.
- We can also offer them a place in the semi-finals, by creating an oversea-alliance where they give us techs (+ even money).
- We can offer them a city; a permanent foothold on our lands from where they can actively support us. This could very well be a former C3B city.

What we can get:
- knowledge on whether we have horses.
- Techs to use against C3B.
- A fighting chance.
- A place in the semis.

We need techs. Give them Monarchy, gold, gpt, etc. I'm not sure about a city right now - we'll see as we attack C3B (if we attack). However, it would be filled with corruption...

We cannot count on CDZ to wipe out CGN, or vice versa. If we want to go on, we have to eliminate C3B. Get the wheel, build our army, and our cities, and attack, while maintaining technological relations with CDZ.

Btw, where will this chat be held? And when? Do you have any details?

Basically we can offer them whatever they want. I'm sure they will not ask for something very unreasonable. To be useful for the C3B war, Feudalism though better be gifted to us. If we pay too much for it, there would be little cash left to rush the things.

I like the idea of giving them a city around C3B which we can build for them. They then can actively participate in the forthcoming war if they want.

@Rik: you can always use tech calculator to determine the exact tech prices.

US give THEM money? What? They should give us money. :p

We need to get the point to them: An alliance is needed with them and CGN. We need to make it clear that we must destory C3B together! We need a super tech treaty ASAP, along with a full military alliance.

When will the chat be? I would like to attend, but I am not here this weekend :(

No gold, we need that for the imminent troop upgrades and rushes.

Offer to set up a long term tech sharing arrangement. We research a branch of the tech tree, they focus on the other. That will most likely attract their attention.

Actually, there might be a problem with posting chat logs since the CDZ website is not censored and CDZ members do not limit themselves with the use of rude expressions. Well, we can always edit the logs to replace the corresponding letters with * or $ or % or other symbols. Please also to other citizens, who might be offended by the language, it might be better not to attend the chats. However, this is the matter of personal discretion and I'm sure all our citizens will be very wellcome at these sessions.

Regarding Yndy's point: Must agree completely. This is a common practice in no-AI PBEM games. We can research someting useful to CDZ if we have an opportunity. Because they don't benefit from us if we research some redundant tech which is already known by them. For example, we will be happy to research Chivalry (which is probably ignored by them atm) if they provide us with Monotheism and Feudalism. Or Invention if they gift us to Engineering and Feudalism. Or even Theology if we are granted the knowledge of Monotheism. We will get at least some techs and they will also get a few for free as a result of this.

I have no problems with cursing and swearing, so please forward me a private uncensored version of the chat. In fact, it may be entertaining :)

CDZ's ships are hurt and need healing. If we gift them a city with a harbor for 1 or 2 turns so their ships can heal I expect them to be very happy.

Fot instance Tulum.
We can offer that city for let's say 5 turns on the condition they build a harbor there for us. And for tech help and military help against C3B.

Very good plan Rik, we can be their key strategic partner in order to close this game in a cooperative, honorable and tidy manner. I like it. We can also invite them to participate in the joint raid on Rio, if there is consensus to participate there. I think they would love that. Dutch Canal Party in Rio, sounds good ?

There is not yet a date or time set. Not even a way to chat; but I propose to use MSN.

I do know the time-frame, it will most likely be between 18:00 GMT and 23:00 GMT.
I don't know what day; but perhaps this evening, perhaps tomorrow evening. As we share the same time-zone meetings are easily arranged.

And again: single teammembers have no decision rights. It's just proposals offering and receiving and strategy chatting. So whatever we or they offer is discussed on both fora.

Just tell me when the chat is going to be. I would love to be part of it. :)

On another note: How is the governement of CDZ made up?

It is anarchy there. Noone has an official position, except Anarres, who is team-captain.

Its sounds like a tribe of barbarians...

Could we bribe them with lobster and beer?

maybe shells and mirrors :)
Rik, are you sure they need a harbor to heal their ship? I would presume they do but IIRC I've seen ships heal in non-harbor cities as well.

They do not need a harbor, only a city on the coast.

Hey, we should try that, and make me team captain! :P

If we give them a cit to heal in, I don't think it will cause any problems, so let's do it.

About cursing in chats, I have posted some chats between me and C3B that has some cursing, but the blocker here at CFC stops it, so no worries.

The problem with MSN: Not everyone has it.

Don't forget to ask if they let refusgies from GCA, and about CGN.
